    £325 for 900 litres with MD fuels in Lurgan seems to be the best price at the minute and it seems to be going up

    You probably don't have a real choice. AIUI the Weights and Measure certification on the tanker gauges is only valid for 500L and above deliveries. That might make it illegal for them to supply less that.

    The second problem is that they incur all the costs of sending a tanker to you and only get the profit on 50L.

    Actually the legislation which applies is The Measuring Instruments (Liquid Fuel delivered from Road Tankers) Regulations 2006 and it only stipulates that a meter must be compliant with the legislation if it supplies in excess of 100 litres in a continuous measurement.

    If someone supplies less than 100 litres, then their certification for that device is invalid, and an offence is committed.

    I'd imagine so. I know a few who will do £100 worth at a time around Newry though, so lower delivery levels are available.
