well i called again today and the person actually went to speak to a manager who came back with they will replace it with the same handset, told then it wasnt acceptable so i am now waiting to get a call back from a manager sometime today0

Stick at it like I did. The fact that I had already had it replaced for the same model and still no joy was the winning factor for me I think. I was offered a choice of four SE phones (C902, C702, W890i, K770i) or the Samsung steel. Went for teh C902 which should be here tomorrow.0

at least your getting a new phone glad you didnt say you were taking the 890i as that is the one i am having problems with oh and guess what no call back
Wee update called them again and after a 35 min call with a very helpful guy called william i am now getting a nokia n95 sent out to me free of charge considering there original offer was an extra £70 for it i am happy, just need to receive it and all will be good0 -
Glad to hear you've both got it sorted. Hope you enjoy your new phones.Mortgage free as of 10/02/2015. Every brick and blade of grass belongs to meeeee. :j0

Well I waited in all day and got nothing. So I phoned them not long ago to find out what has happened. Apparently the order could not go through as there is 'some complications'. I asked what this meant and was told that because I filed an insurance claim for a lost phone earlier this week the manager had to sort it out. I also cancelled the insurance claim last Tuesday but apparently they did not have this on record, and I only started it as I was told it would be the best way by a Vodafone employee, but soon after I started it I realised it wasn't the best avenue to take.
I'm !!!!ed off because no-one bothered to contact me saying there was a problem so I wasted a day waiting in. I told the guy on the phone this and he claims that the phone wouldn't have arrived till Monday anyway - despite me being told it was coming Friday by another member of staff.
So now I have to wait till the manager gets back in tomorrow to phone me but as my mobile doesn't work and I will be out I'm sure if he does bother to contact me I will miss it.
Wish I didn't have so long of my contract left as Vodafone would lick my balls to keep my custom if I was going to cancel.0 -
chaosx sorry to here that but are you surprised am not, i was promised a call or massage today with the delivery date for my replacement and yip not a call or message, though i would have seen as the guy i talked to last night was so helpful and said he wouldnt stop my call until it was resolved, i was told it will probably be monday before i get it but am not holding out much hope if its not here i will be straight on the phone to them, i was also asked to return my old phone to a vodafone store were you asked to do this chaosx i might 'forget' to do so if i have anymore problems lol0
-
Wasn't asked to return it but it's no good to anyone really anyway. Just written a long email with the whole situation detailed out - not that I expect that it will amount to anything much.0
-
well my email that was sent on tuesday hasnt received a reply yet , i wont bad mouth anymore i am still to receive my phone0

I have to say that I WOULD MUCH RATHER DEAL WITH 3 MOBILE CUSTOMER SERVICES, vodafone are a nightmare to deal with, trying to end a contract is palava, I think they do it on purpose.0
-
I'd much rather go down the garden centre and see if they can help. Probably get more luck.0
