well chaosx i thought i had it bad, they returned mine last time saying there was not fault, i to believe that this is a common fault with quite a few different SE models as i have friends whos do the same thing, at first i thought it might be the software vodafone put on it but nope my friend are on different networks, oh and i had this probelm with my k700i aswell.
Anyway spirit i have sent a email to vodafone heres hopeing it will work, oh and one note dont sent it wo the address at the top of your bill as you will get a reply saying go through the vodafone website kind of annoying when i had already written the email

Done that twice before. It seems there would be no problem getting a replacement of the same model as I have said before. The sticking point is that I want a different model as like I say this one has been nothing but grief. I wouldn't mind as much but 2 of the Vodafone staff have told me that it's a common problem with the K850i and I'm just tired of it all. When I first joined Vodafone they were great for the first 2 or 3 years but the customer service has gone downhill so quickly.

Spoke to someone on the phone earlier who seems to think he can sort the problem. He said he will give me a call back within half an hour - that was 50 mins ago. This is the sort of thing that annoys me. I'm sitting around at home waiting for a phone call and I have to go out soon. Customer service is so poor!

did you ask for their name? Tis usually a good idea to do that so you can quote that mr/ms x said blah blah. I would imagine that they had to speak to their TM about it to get authorisation. Managers have a goodwill level (£ wise) which the advisors don't you see.

This is the same that happened to me, seem that they are good at saying that they have the solution but when it comes to following up what they say this is where there customer service fails

Got a call last night about hour and a half after he said he would call. It seemed that the problem was there was no record that I had already exchanged my phone once which is why they would only offer me the same model. Once we cleared that up he said he has sent another escalation and I should expect an email within 24 hours (so by about 8pm tonight) offering me a choice of 3 similarly speced phones. I'll believe it when I see it.

Well he called me tonight and told me that the escalation had come back and all they could offer was a replacement K850i. I stood my ground and said that wasn't good enough. He said he would call back in half hour, which he did with an offer of 5 different phone models to chose from. He has given me an hour to decide then will call back.
