What food poisoning were you at risk of then? You dont get food poisoning from defrosted food.

Your order was replaced....you should be happy with that instead of demanding compensation! You know, for every person who does that...products rise in price and these companies cannot swallow it forever. It all contributes to the massively high prices we are paying today!

By the way....there is a difference between making complaint and demanding compensation.

So when an item is frozen, and it says do not re-freeze, why is that then? Is it because it isn't recommended?

Its people like Tinker who would not understand the danger of putting food that has already defrosted back into the freezer. Im glad that was pointed out. Im sure other people that evening got food that was defrosted and thought it okay to refreeze.

So you should be thanking Iceland for the fact that you've had the chance to educate the entire country, and prevent widespread food poisoning. You owe them.

No but maybe one other person now knows not to refreeze once defrosted. Id say that was a result.
  • I have to ask WHAT WOULD HAVE MADE YOU HAPPY?
You are obviously not satisfied with what you did get, what would your solution have been had you been the store manger?

Im happy about it being sorted just not with the hassle involved . The five pound voucher was handy.even if I said it was paltry. Im entitled to vent my feelings which is what the board is about. Its a pity that some people think they can be sarcastic so it turns into a big debate.
If you look back on the comments I have you will see that instead of constructive feedback some people have chosen just to be rude.

I have to agree with lolababy here, she is entitled to vent if she wishes without getting a load of sarcastic comments in return

surely the £5 voucher was not compansation but a gesture of good will for the op's inconvience.

No, they only potentially nearly died.

I'm sure I've seen an advert that says "Where there's blame, there's a claim" - ring up a no win no fee lawyer, try to get them to take it on?

You want this guy to do your compensation claim...
