I can't see any offensive remarks OP. Perhaps it is a case of reading what you don't want to read and you deem that to be offensive?
  • I thought you could re-freeze stuff, within certain limits. My parents would often have a lot of stuff in their freezer, take a pack of something out of there, use a few things from it, and put it back in the freezer, and it was okay.

Come on folks this person nearly died from food poisoning, they should have at least got a free trolly dash included as compensation.

No, they only potentially nearly died.

I'm sure I've seen an advert that says "Where there's blame, there's a claim" - ring up a no win no fee lawyer, try to get them to take it on?

Right lets relax. Firstly if a company gives bad service I have a right to complain Secondly If the company had replaced my goods and said sorry when it happened I would not have felt the need to ask for compensation remember I paid for a service that I did get.
If little Tinker thinks that getting a fiver compensation has a major impact on food prices she needs a rain check. Lets face it going by the comments Iv received it would only be a fraction of people they give anything to.
Pinkshoes why are you getting so upset by the word compensation its not just used for the unfortunate who you so graciously mention. Calm down dear.
Well just to let you know I bought a really nice piece of pork and my family will enjoy every bit of it.

Sorry I dont understand what service you paid for Iceland delivery is free.

yes there was potential for food poisoning as my teenage son was about to put them in the freezer as I had been to a school meeting, The order was replaced only after two phone calls and not till the next evening
maybe your son had taken delivery of the shopping an hour or two before, then jumped up and ran to the freezer as he saw you arriving, pretending it had just been delivered? :D
