I also use this site but it can be quite frustrating as they don't seem to delete out of date links, so you can spend alot of time putting in details only to be told that the promotion has ended. :mad: But occasionally they do get new ones so it is worth keeping an eye on. HTH

I don't think we should ever be using barcode generators to change any coupons (let alone providing a link to such a site to complete strangers on t'internet. Just one dodgy person reading it may abuse it big-time and that could be the end of couponing!).:eek:


P.S. I know most of you aren't dodgy at all BTW (at least I THINK I know...!).

I find sticking a nice clear barcode on the back of a coupon, which may not scan, can save a lot of hassle at the checkout.
It was very certainly useful for the greenish mitchum one that had a poor contrast, on many inkjet printers.
I would agree with not "tampering" with the coupon itself though!

Unfortunately, I think that anyone who is going to abuse the system will do it, whether some-one gives them the link to a barcode generator, or if they are going to copy the wrong barcode onto a coupon and alter dates etc...we can only warn members here ( and especially the lurkers!!) of the risk of prosecution for fraud, and hope that will be enough of a deterrent....typically anyone who is going to go to the trouble of "tampering" with the coupon will get greedy and get noticed and caught....

The FGS has printed out nice and clearly for me.
The on-screen shot appears to have the barcode looking liking the bars have joined together, but by printing it, without playing around with it, it has printed sharply. (even though it has used a ton of ink!)
It also clearly has two different fonts between the 25p and 50p coupon.
Don't waste your time trying to alter the coupon, print it off the way it was intended to be printed!:doh:

Not recently, but I had a problem a few months back where some tills were accepting a certain amount and then not taking any more coupons. If that's the case, they need to press their 'sub total' button again and it should accept more. I know this because one of my friendly till operators fiddled about until it worked for me. Might help?

Sorry about this madmuppet5 but I have had another (4th actually) cheese calendar! Maybe you will still get one as it is rather late to be getting calendars but if I'm still getting them, you never know you may get a nice surprise one of these days in the post!!
