No problem with the Shackers coupon, only that the cashier had to punch the numbers in. Bless you all for my lovely dinner today without you I would have to have beans on toast:T:j:iloveyou:0

I wonder if some idiot has been using photocopies.
Neither of those coupons are blocked, I used them both today. Are you sure the SA pressed the total button (did other mocs scan?).
And to janwilliams3, yours is another example of a single store decision where the cashiers believe it to be universal. Many staff believe what they are told by their Supervisor to be the National Policy, I have heard that soooo many times from credulous cashiers, I think they would believe anything they get told by their Supervisor, lol!
Such changes never are universal if you are hearing about them at the till (we would hear about any national change on here first I can promise you - just as we did when R&R was changed to Double the Difference).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Well my last two shops at Tesco have netted me about £10/£11 off both shops, definately using more than 5 coupons at a time.
Ive been told lots of different things by both SA's and supervisors in the past, but the next shop it either changes, or i'm fine to use them again.
Thankfully I think all the supervisors at my local store finally know the national policy, and only most of the SA's seen to be oblivious to it.Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former. - Albert Einstein0 -

Well one did, the cashier didn't notice I handed two different coupons from the Sun, and she was insistent that I could only use one MOC (even though she did attempt to scan them). I thought the total to pay was wrong, and only after paying did I get to confirm it from the reciept, so I had to ask for my coupon (which wasn't redeemed) back and was told to go to the customer service desk if I wanted to use it.
Maybe she did something to make sure they didn't scan, but I only handed the Thermacare one after she tried the OK one (it is long dated and worth a lot, so use it as backup) so it "should" have scanned.
Hopefully it was just her being awkward.
I'm going to try again tomorrow using the nice cashier that always accepts my MOCs so I will know for sure if they scan or not.0 -

Presented my bundle of legitimate coupons and was told very definitely they were only allowed to take 5 coupons per shop. I asked was this a new initiative and young chap said yes an e mail had been issued to stores. Is this just yet another single store manager decision or has anyone else heard of this?
Tescos have had the same policy for ages, its proberly been changed at store level. There have been a number of e-mails to stores re-iterating the policy (the same as the posting on the 1st page) The best advice is print off the copy of the coupon policy on the first page and ask at the customer service desk before you start shopping and if they tell you any different ask them to ring customer services at Dundee to check.0 -
I went in on friday and used 18 coupons and Saturday used 14 coupons. On Tuesday though the S.A said I take 5 coupons!!!If at first you don't succeed, try, try, try - oh bu99er that just cheat0

Why? The points are totalled from the sub total before they take the coupons off, as technically the coupones are 'tender'Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former. - Albert Einstein0 -
