I went to use a coupon in my local Tesco and had letter from Dundee ready in back up as my Tesco make it very diffuclt. I handed the coupon over nad the girl stated I had to buy the product. She called the supervisor who stated the same. I showed the letter that suggested other wise and was told tough. I asked them to call Dundee to clarify and they refused, I asked if i could use their phone to call an was again told no.
The manager was called and phoned Dundee and came back an apologised!! He even stated it was worrying that customers knew more about policy than staff and management. He asked to photocopy letter and promised to communicate to all staff.
However a friend visited this evening encouraged by the news and was told that coupons for non purchase were now allowed..... but only one coupon per transaction!!!
He suggested the actual policy was one of the same coupon per transaction but they insisted just one per transaction.
A move in the right direction but still not same as Tesco General Policy!!0 -

The symbology is EAN-13.
Leave the other parameters as they are and type in the full barcode.AKA: PC

for fairly obvious reasons I don't think we should be openly promoting this type of software/websites what with the recent increase of doctored coupons. I know it's easy enough to find on your own but it's putting temptation out there for the less honest of us0

Hi everyone,

Many coupons are in this thread and many other ones.

After recent problems at Tesco I went in armed with 'The Letter' from post#1, but never got to use it. All my coupons, including internet ones, were happily accepted (after she checked the date).
Although abuse of internet coupons by generating new barcodes and pasting them on top of existing ones may lead to Tesco clamping down, I doubt it would make much difference. Most of the staff don't seem to know the policy now, so they're not likely to remember any changes!dont know if this is every where but in my tesco today they had letters at each till saying they no longer accept printable internet coupons and that to use a coupon you have to purchase the product!!!0
