I'm actually quite excited about going to Mr T's this week armed with as many coupons as I can get my grubby little mitts on, a copy of the policy from page 1, nerves of steel and a desire to find a nice young man who will gladly take my coupons - have I missed anything???
Wish me luck and thanks for keeping me entertained this evening:D
Welcome.:beer:It's nice to be nice .....
You HAVE checked google before asking, haven't you?;)

I've got something to share!! Am so happy!! About a week ago I bought a Muller multipack of lite yoghurts. Opened them this morning and found two coupons for a free pack of Muller Little Stars, worth £1.58. The offer is really well advertised on the packaging, but I never noticed it....0

Says on the coupon worth £1.58 and valued until the 31.03.09.
Hope this is of some interest to people and not been prveiously posted (coudn't find anything):j
Lots of jelly for the kids. I've still got 2 vouchers to use.:)0 -

You can only use the voucher for a free pack of Little Stars. I tried to use the coupon in Tesco without buying any & it sconned at £0.00, so the discount has to be entered manually.
Noooooo, that's not always the case, don't give up!
You just have to put that moc in the top of your pile, pick a nice SA and then remember to smile sweetly when they scan the first moc and say 'oh, I think that one is worth £1.58, look, it says so there'... Don't put it in the middle or they may scan quickly & miss the prompt for the amount and you may forget to say your spiel - in which case it will not scan as any amount at all and you'll have lost it.
Never fails with a nice SA, I have used 4 of these mocs already and never bought Little Stars. I have to say it would be very SA dependent though, there's no way an old dragon would allow it!

Hi
Had run in with evil dragon cs lady in Hemel store ( see earlier post ) who told me Watford will not accept coupons unless you buy the item. She also told me Hemel won't so I gave using them a rest for a while. Ha ha - yesterday managed to get a £3 purina coupon thru tho didn't buy ( don't even have a pet). So have decided to just use one largish amount coupon per week so as not to arouse suspicion. Would suggest you try the same at Watford.

And to janwilliams3, yours is another example of a single store decision where the cashiers believe it to be universal. Many staff believe what they are told by their Supervisor to be the National Policy, I have heard that soooo many times from credulous cashiers, I think they would believe anything they get told by their Supervisor, lol!
Such changes never are universal if you are hearing about them at the till (we would hear about any national change on here first I can promise you - just as we did when R&R was changed to Double the Difference).
I am a bit (well a lot) of a shrinking violet and did not want to confront her or cause a fuss so I said nothing but the coupon was out of date by my next shop - only 50p luckily but I make sure I never go to her again
I can't understand why they do this- it's not as if they get a bonus for stopping customers who legitimatley use coupons and adhere to T policy all they do is cause bad feeling. I could understand if I was rude or unpleasant but I am alway really nice to the SA's even the rude ones
I am not a beige person:D0 -
I noticed a SA do this to me a while ago - she seemed very friendly but said the coupon would not scan - at my T they are not allowed to punch in the number - so I asked nicely if she would try the hand held scanner which she did but said it still would not scan and it was not until she handed it back to me that I realised that the way she was holding the coupon she had covered the bar code with her hand.

I work for Tesco and know some of my colleagues can be really anal. It really isn't necessary to be rude to people ( have had that in other stores aswell). Unfortunatley, we all know that for every one person legitimatley using coupons, there are probably 2 who aren't. While it is true we don't get bonus based on the amount of couponers we stop ( legit or otherwise ), bonus can be based on hitting targets etc, so if fake coupons are taken which effect profit etc, then we can lose bonus. I find T policy strange, we can all see what head office says on first page, yet it does appear that this is open to interpretation/managers discretion which is mad. The way I see it, you either take them or you don't. My manager says he accepts them to keep customer happy.
Hope I haven't upset anyone.0 -

 It seems that since that article appeared in the Mail, my tesco have become coupon watchers, they scrutinise everything and i have twice been marched over to customer services in the last two days to have some of mine checked and they've all turned out fine, i expect when i go in again the same will happen...has something changed that I didn't know about!???!! does anyone have an email to call and find out what the current policy is? this is doing my head in, they make me feel like a damn criminal!!! xWon't buy nuffink without a discount0
