I would go for a cheapish Epson, like a DX4950 about £42 (or a DX8400 Scanner/copier/printer about £60) as you can usually get pretty decent but cheap compatible cartridges at around £9 a set which will last you for loads of coupons.
If at first you don't succeed, try, try, try - oh bu99er that just cheat :D

    Hi,

first of all sorry for being slightly off the topic...But I was looking for the printer for printing the coupons and some kids coluring pages....as I don't have the printer at the moment.

Can anyone suggest me a model OR direct me to the site which will help me decide to buying printer please...???

Actually I don't need the photo printing or any other facility in that but just the basic printer which serves my purpose...???

Also if any one can tell me the consumables cost associated with it please...?????

Thanks in advance for any help and suggestions...

I use an Epsom DX4000 very successfully but after using my parents printer which is an HP photoprint (not sure which one) mine seems so so so slow so would bear this in mind if I were purchasing again as it takes so long to print the coupons out, especially on best print which makes scanning easier. The time factor is also worth bearing in mind if the whole family uses one printer as this slows down other programs being used at the same time. My parents printer (£113 ish) prints out in literally seconds.

Yes, you should be a bit careful now you have been shown the policy change in that store. If the staff there KNOW that you know the policy you can't really risk using mocs in the evening in case you get spotted, IMHO. Depends how well known you are in there?

In my local where they don't take internet prints at all, I daren't use one ever because they KNOW I know their policy. So I wouldn't even put one in the moc pile with a new cashier in case a Supervisor is called and spots it's me & then sees an internet moc. It's too big a risk and sadly I can't play the 'oooh sorry I didn't know' game when my profile in there is sky high.

I wouldn't say my profile was very high for the day staff, although last night probably brought it up a notch for the night staff.

I'll just stick to shopping in the day, which is a shame as my Tesco like putting all their good discounts on after 9pm.

But how are we to know that Tesco haven't changed the rules again (which they appear to do regularly).
We're not breaking the rules by giving the coupons to the SA.

After all, they may have had a change of heart and started taking coupons again

Hi, i went to brighouse (nr hudds?) a few months ago and they said internet coupons were now banned,

Are you saying you were told you can use one of each different coupon?

If so, i will pop in later in the week, as my store one accepts one coupon per shop.

Ya, Brighouse nr Hudds. Yes, that`s what I was told the stores (current - they seem to be very changeable) policy is, and that`s what I got. Good luck!

  • thanks babyJ3, i will give them a try tommorrow and let you know.. i went there a few times around xmas when tesco were doing the till spits of X off X spend and was able to use that with the sainburys x off x spend and one / two other coupons so was gonna give two or three a try..

    will report back!!

I realy hate the harrow one as they keep doing what suits them when they feel like it.. and the assistants are rude as they did not even put through vouchers for items i had bought and did not like being told that they should have put them through..which took me back to sainsburys.. they are much easier and nicer to you..

    thanks all,

my printer is a brother and I have been told by a friend who has the same one that there a no compatable inks for the brother range as they spill ink all over the place so I am paying £15 for black ink and £26 for 3 colour inks - not cheap but worth it for higher value coupons but any advice about compatable inks would be appreciated
