Actually, if you read my post properly i stated that tesco will never, in your words, "Give people a bollocking" for getting R&R, i did NOT and would NOT say that Tesco does not bother checking clubcard numbers.spa2k wrote:Secondly, You are getting the R&R on someone elses clubcard, what sort of publicity would it generate if Tesco were to trace whomever and
give them a bollocking ...it simply won't happen.

Noticed that wine placed in fridge part in Tescos Thorton Heath has out of date SELs. Got six bottles of Jacob Creek this way on Thurs and noticed Tescos Finest Burgundy advertised as £4.99 but in main wine aisle was £6.97 and seemed to be scanning at this price, was going to take a bottle but queues huge so couldn't be bothered. It seems they don't seem as quick in updating prices here - not sure if anyone else has noticed that.Thomas born 28/08/2010 weighing 5lbs and 4ounces, small but perfectly formed :j:j Now weighs 19lbs and 5 ounces

Robert5686 wrote:I disagree. This website is about "consumer revenge". See heading at top of page. To think otherwise is a little naive.
Thats strange... I log onto ww.moneysavingsexpert.com I didn't realise you logged in via ww.revenge.com.
If you're after revenge on Tesco one wonders why you shop there at all. Take your trade somewhere else if you really wish Tesco ill.0 -

Dude.
As well as Spa2k there's a Dude called Rufus who is very helpful - some time ago he told me:
"As people have mentioned before ALL purchases and refunds are logged against your clubcard (when one is provided). A few clicks on the mouse when your receipt's barcode is scanned, and Tesco have your history on their screen.
If a CS or Manager could see (for example) that you had R&Rs on over a dozen CDs, a handful of DVDs and a heap of meat & fish in the last 2 months it might arouse reasonable suspicions that their policy is being taken unfair advantage of.
As has been suggested before if you are a serial R&R users it is likely that Tesco may take action to prevent you doing so in the future.
I would *strongly* suggest that regular R&Rers don't use their clubcard and pay cash. Then it's just down to how much the CS recognises your face. If they don't have an audit trail they are IMHO unlikely to flag you up as a serial user & take action against you."
I'm sure Rufus won't mind me quoting him - this was posted on an open thread.
There you go Dude.
As I said - think about what you are doing.......

Dude,
That's exactly what I said to Robert - keep the thread on topic.
And I thought his remarks to Spa2k were out of order and wanted to highlight this as Spa2k has helped many readers of this thread.
As far as the clubcard issue - I think it's bang out of order to give some clean skin at Mr T's a R&R entry on their record without their acquiescence.
Someone has got to point out that this thread exists to help understand the R&R system - share experiences/problems - and try to help each other.
This thread is not designed for personal attacks, boasting about the fact that you've purchased £x hundred worth of goods or encouraging dodgy clubcard practices.
I sincerely hope that the majority of readers of this thread would agree.

Hope this the the right thread but Nutragrain bars in boxes of 4 are on offer 2 boxes for £3.00 but they scanned at full price for each box....When me and my mum went to customer services they were double checking indeed that we had been charged wrong.I had to leave my mum to sort it out seeing as though she had bought them...They said they were checking as yesterday somebody got refunded £100 for 4 bottles of champagne...I wonder which champagne????0

No wonder you had to split this thread to have this one for discussions and the other for misprices -it's a full time job following this discussion! -no time left to go spot misprices!0

ispartacus75 wrote:Some people have mentioned that there are scanners in store. Are they referring to scanners that customers can use, adn are these in all stores, or are they just referring to the scanners at the tills that are staff operated.
Thanks in advance for any replies
They are referring to the customer price check points that are on the wall in a rapidly decreasing number of stores. Unfortunately the technology is now obsolete and as far as I am aware the installation costs for a new system are somewhat prohibitive.
However, if you ask ANY member of staff they should be more than willing to find out the price for you. IF you see one with a PDA they can do it on the spot.Fight Poverty - Hit a tramp!
