I have heard that a lot of customer services people tell people they are only entitled to the two pound voucher though!!!
Hope that helps!!!
Thats annoying - they ripped me off then!! Knew I should have dug my heels in
Why then does Asda not have a thread for R & R opportunities? Or have I missed it?Who or what was I before you came in to my life

Yeah I suppose they (the scanners) make it easier. Still, you would expect at least some posts, wouldnt you?Who or what was I before you came in to my life

Has anyone else noticed that several regular posters on this thread has stopped posting here recently? Could it be because of unnecessary remarks being made? I have made a couple of posts asking people to be nice and saying you can disagree without being rude but this doesnt seem to be the case here. I think this thread has lost the plot so I'm not going to waste my time and just vote with my feet (well fingers I suppose!!)Auntie Savingsgirl 24/9/06 :j0

Tried to get two motorolas from my local last night on R+R, however CS and deputy manager were not having it. They said the leaflet was not supplied by them, even though it had Tescos stamped all over it, and it was not their fault the price was wrong.
CS manager shrugged off the R+R policy saying it was simply a "goodwill" gesture, and they didnt have to do it if they didnt want to. She then went on to say "some customers are just abusing the scheme". I said are you accusing me, she said oh no...
I love the general care free attitude of the staff around this policy. Have they no sense of "Trading Standards".
Will keep you posted,

It's probably due to the fact that the "discussion" has been exhausted, and only the personal remarks remain.
This thread could go on for ever, and there'll still be the two sides having a snipe at each other.
My view is make use of an overcharge, but only to the extent to which I personally would have done had the misprice not existed - no 3x the same DVD, mobile phone or book, etc.0 -

I think you are right, i for one value everyones comments and try to keep posts factual, some folks seem to be very bitter and are using Tescos staff as an excuse to be angry, Tars and Spa have always been helpful on this board and i value their input, as for the few that are always on the attack, just ignore them, i doAnother day another R&R

to anyone that is struggling with the phone issue - head office backed me up yesterday.
Just explained the situation and I was sent back in to collect a free phone even though I had already taken my money back.
I often buy a couple of other items when getting an R&R as that way they can never keep the reciept.0 -

Not sure they do offer r&r actually.
The way I have always understood it is that they will give you back the difference and a £2 voucher as a goodwill gesture. I have never heard that they refund in full and you get a £2 voucher. :blushing:0 -

I think we should all lighten up people! Most of my family have dyslexia but it was a JOKE for dog's sake! (sorry couldnt resist...and I myself am partially dyslexic so I'm allowed to take the mick)
