DS2 has grown... and destroyed his shoes so I've had to fork out for a new pair .. £36!!!!!!!!!!! They had better last until September!! He also needs new school trousers.. age 12.. :D.. He was 13 last week and on growth hormone replacement so this is fabulous! We went to shoe shop picked him some shoes.. I don't have any money until tomorrow so I'm picking them up then when I take Tiddles to have her shoes checked now she has her new insoles in which are chunkier than her last ones so knowing my luck I'll have another pair of shoes to fork out for the week before payday!! (30th this month)

I am £50 a month better off though as I have had a reduction on my mortgage payment.. :D .. definitely a bonus there!! This time next year I'll be looking for reasonable places for a remortgage.. and I would wholly recommend Chelsea to anyone they have been brilliant.

I decluttered a round worm the cat had hocked up and arranged prescriptions of wormy medicine for the children and the bunnies and the cats..

Sending hubby to shop for food as we have none.. must do a largeish shop for next week as the cupboards are getting bare again.

Anw'smum - hugs to you and it's a damn fine reason not to fly. Actually, my friend gave blood today so maybe I shouldn't fly either!!!

    Ok, my list for the next two hours;

    - s/s because parents are coming round to keep an eye on my monsters whilst I go for 6 week check
    - go for 6 week check
    - make dinner
    - put washing in dryer for ten mins and hang

    That's it I think.

I've just submitted my gas/electric metre readings into the website - i'm stilll £2 in credit...thank goodness I've had the heating off since my operation or i'd have been minus good knows what!!! Definitely need to get the usage down! Scary xx
  • Thanks very much for all the birthday wishes - much appreciated.

I am now watching the US swearing in ceremonies - but at the same time

    awaiting a Mr T delivery
    tidying kitchen
cooking 3 lots of dinner - 2 for the freezer
    supervising homework (oh joy)

    see you later

    Moam
Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

Snowball says too far away, working hard to bring it forward.

Congratulations. I failed totally AGAIN!! I think I might have to follow your example (preferably on a day when I'm not working...) otherwise it'll just keep on going like this!

I know, it's ridiculous - mind you, I was so tired, but just getting up and doing something or popping out to the car for some fresh air would give me a second wind and I just carried on - but was definitely ready for bed at 10 last night - I think I just ran on adrenalin for the last part of the day...:p Good luck Greenbee, hope it works for you too and thanks to everyone for their lovely wishes... And yes Toots, I will continue to go to bed early the rest of this week to keep me topped up, thank you and keep nagging me - I need it!

Well the varnish we got for the wood is wrong, we got 'walnut' and it's too light, any painting experts know if 'deep mahogany' is darker (and more redish) because it doesn't look it on the website but seems to be the only other dark one, darn it! Can see this getting on my nerves trying to get a close colour. .

Lil_me - you can get a black varnish, depending on wood comes up anything from black (very porous wood) or like a very dark brown (pre-treated stuff) but best to test first. How dark do you want it? The one I usually use if I need a DARK wood stain is Jacobean Oak, or there is a new one out called Wenge, but not everywhere does that colour. You can also get a brown Mahogany instead of red... Hope that helps..

flower: can i be in your 'gang'?!?!?!? i want to spend all the money on fun things too and not have to worry about anything else :D:j

Course you can, we can let Mudbath worry about the payments for us.... :rotfl: :rotfl:

I have changed my avatar ready for Thursday, but thought a nice yellow big bird would be just as good and give everyone a smile, plus won't get mixed up in all the flowers... ;)

I am just going to do my filing - I have brought big blue box and 2 folders in ready - just got to pick up the hole punch from upstairs... The pile is about a foot high and has only been there about 4 months waiting to be done... (hangs head in shame...) there is business stuff mixed in with it too though... (no excuse I know, in fact really, that's even worse!)

Will post my list in a sec...

Just back from dentist, really upset, I've got the dreaded 'dry socket', there's nothing that can be done.

My dentist said I'll be in this kind of pain for at least 2 weeks.....no painkillers touch it, well none that I've got. She gave me a prescription for stronger ones as she could see how much pain I'm in. She also re dressed and repacked it but I'm gutted as I did everything I was told to aid healing with the extraction.

Going to have to ring my manager because I'm not sure when I'll be back to work, not for next day or so at least.

He is measuring a 4.5 at Clarks but he has been lucky enough to inherit my WIDE feet and his dad's really high bony instep.. so he is getting a 5.5H.

Mine has been on growth hormone replacement since he was 8 and is doing puberty with a vengence. He is needing to shave his upper lip already! (but won't.. he looks like he has a dirty face lol)
