Miss A - I'm glad you enjoyed your sleepover -enjoy staying up until 2am whilst you can....I struggle to get past 9pm!!!!

Jennybee - Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh - congratulations on your lovely new little boy.....forget the cleaning/tidying ....it's NOT important!!!!

Flower - you need a maths lesson!!!! Time to learn your adding up :rotfl: !!

AnW'smum - thanks for your info....only one of the DDs had my reference number. The others have been cancelled. They had someone elses name and address so i'm guessing they'll chase it up with them. I've already set up the indemnity claim with my bank. I'll phone the insurance next week to tell them i'm thinking of leaving as i'm worried about security...see what they say to that :rotfl: .

I've had a lovely day on my course but I am soooooooooo quiet. Nine hours of concentrating has really shattered me but I kind of feel normal again...another day tomorrow and then that's it for a month.

 and hugs for everyone xx
  • HShello2.gif Miss A - 2am !!!! HSwow1.gifooooh you must have been tired this morning -I bet there was far toooooooo much chattering going on and sneaky bedtime feasts!!!
I had better get saving if I am going to see Quo - but only if Mum get all her ironing HSiron.gifdone by then!!!!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: I think she needs you to organise her -perhaps you willl have to start helping her sort it out first - her pile - your pile- W's pile - get it all folded up ready for ironing and maybe it wont be such a huge task for her with you helping! What do you think??

Lucky Nanan and Grandad - it will be nice and warm there!

Are you off to catch up on your sleep soon???
    love toots xx

Crafty – well remembered, the junk room was meant to be left for a bit but DH has a scattergun approach to work and it is best to take advantage whilst he is in the right mood. I have found a corner sink/toilet to order for the downstairs loo but it is three weeks for delivery so he started upstairs again. We can’t do much more plumbing wise until we can afford a new boiler so more stud walls is the answer as we have the timber and plaster board to hand. Hopefully he will build the walls for the en suite, the new bathroom, bedroom, the bookcase corridor (16’ of carved oak bookcases for me to fill!) and to re-create the back hall over the next few weeks.
Valli/Flower – thanks for the support but I honestly have no regrets or guilt about it. If I hadn’t done it we would still be stuck in the same untidy cramped little house falling out with each other every five minutes from sheer claustrophobia, and I might just have gone mad. The end justified the means and all that. I appreciate that not everyone would feel that way though, and there is tremendous pressure (often self imposed) on new mums to be ‘perfect’. I am miles apart from the vision of mothering I had when I was pregnant but the boys are happy and healthy and so am I and that is all that matters.
Since dinner I have managed to fill the DW and the WM, and hoover upstairs, the stairs and downstairs and put the boys to bed. Plenty for one day I think. Just need to sort clothes and swimming stuff for the morning.

    that's exactly what i do.
i'll make a list of what needs doing and start with one room and work my way around  - wish me luck!!!!

it's just we have silly old wallpaper (with sticking up patterns?!) all downstairs and some upstairs - so that will be a major job

Your welcome honey - just wish I was nearer to come and paint! I knew flower would be along to help - she's a natural so like she says get in touch with her - maybe email her some photos of the bits you think are holding you back and she will give you some ideas.

Now I am going to make a suggestion - I have no idea if it will work - perhaps flower or some of the others will have tried and be able to tell us - you say you have silly old wallpaper with sticky up pattern - do you mean flock - is it 'fluffy' - how about moving a bit of furniture away from a wall that has this paper and doing a test patch of emulsion on it - it may need a couple of coats like I say I dont know - but if it didnt work nobody would see until you had gone!!!! - It may work and you would still have the pattern outline but it will be all the one colour and not so noticeable:rotfl: It would save you having to strip it

Well I have got towels in the WM, but apart from that I'm sitting here with a bad case of CBA. Absolutely no justification - sun shining (and showing up the dusty bits) OK I am going to shift NOW

Before I go - anyone live near/know anything about Leeds?
Think I might have to visit at least once this year. Just how far away from Leeds is 'Leeds' Airport?

airport is about 15 -20 mins drive from Leeds City Centre.
  • Hi,

Hope everyone is well & welcome newbies/returners. I've done more laundry & errands and am off to bed soon. Goodnight
