Dinner with NN done and dusted. She was in a cheerier frame of mind tonight so it can only have done good. Pheasant was spectacular even if I do say so myself....
Just caught the tail end of a programme on BBC2 (I think) whilst I was washing up about the depression of the late 1920's early 1930's. Scarey stuff! So many parallels to today's financial problems!
But, I'm off to put the freshly laundered sheets etc. back on my bed and then sleep.
Night night allI am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Spent the evening playing cards and board games which came to light with the toy cupboard sort earlier. I removed the NTL card earlier in the week and the improvement in behaviour/temprement/co-operation has been marked.
Living room still needs a complete clean and there is still the window seat drawers to sort. I intend to get to it in the morning.
Right washing on. I need to move some money to pay a bill, feed the cats, set the teasmaid and I'm off to read the paper in bed (only get a paper on a saturday and I have 2 and a half weeks to read). The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Helllloooooooo
Havent been round much this week and certainly havent been flying much either. Up until today I had only had 1 day off in 14 and worked a 13 hour day on Thursday so what with the anaemia as well flying has been the last thing on my mind.
Today however I printed the whole list and its still sitting on the table but .......................
I sent OH to get a new bookcase for the dining room so decided it would be a good time to finish the decorating (only had that wall left plus the skirting) and .......................
I've done it !!!!!
I think DD was about 4 when I started it and she'll be, er 10 in March :rotfl: EDIT - it was actually February 02
so tomorrow I will start again with the whole list and hopefully get a bit more done.
In the mean time
Hugs to all those who need them and congratulations to Auntie Pigpen (did catch the pic on friday). Hope Thursday went ok AnW's mum (I wore yellow undies) and a big hello to Miss A (I'll have to get Littlemeister back on so she can chat to you - she's 9). I'm sure there were more people I wanted to mention - oh yes, congratulations to Johanne's OH on the promotion and I really cant remember any more.
Hopefully will pop in tomorrow

Flower - you need a maths lesson!!!! Time to learn your adding up :rotfl: !!
I've had a lovely day on my course but I am soooooooooo quiet. Nine hours of concentrating has really shattered me but I kind of feel normal again...another day tomorrow and then that's it for a month.
 and hugs for everyone xx
I know...:rotfl: I think I know why, I had £11 in the pot and the other £2 went off the card, so I put £11 down instead of £13... IYKWIM?(my excuse and I'm sticking to it...)
Valli/Flower – thanks for the support but I honestly have no regrets or guilt about it. If I hadn’t done it we would still be stuck in the same untidy cramped little house falling out with each other every five minutes from sheer claustrophobia, and I might just have gone mad. The end justified the means and all that. I appreciate that not everyone would feel that way though, and there is tremendous pressure (often self imposed) on new mums to be ‘perfect’. I am miles apart from the vision of mothering I had when I was pregnant but the boys are happy and healthy and so am I and that is all that matters.
And that's how it should be...:T :T well done you! I've had to do similar myself so really appreciate what you've said... It was only because of what you wrote I said what I said, but I can see why...
You and hubby have done really well with the work though - I bet you'll be pleased when it's done - sounds like it will be lovely.LBM April 2013 - £29,000.00Vanquis CC's PAID - Debenhams SC PAID - A+L OD PAID - Asda CC £783.75Barclaycard CC £1400.78 - BoS CC PAID - Freemans Cat PAIDF/D Loan & CC £1458.96 - Santander Loan PAID - Mum Loan PAIDRBS OD PAID - F/D OD £1026.52Weekly Grocery Challenge - £95.00 budget / spend £-0 -

Now I am going to make a suggestion - I have no idea if it will work - perhaps flower or some of the others will have tried and be able to tell us - you say you have silly old wallpaper with sticky up pattern - do you mean flock - is it 'fluffy' - how about moving a bit of furniture away from a wall that has this paper and doing a test patch of emulsion on it - it may need a couple of coats like I say I dont know - but if it didnt work nobody would see until you had gone!!!! - It may work and you would still have the pattern outline but it will be all the one colour and not so noticeable:rotfl: It would save you having to strip it
toots xx
You've definitly got a job toots...I think you would do well on an ID course, although I know you have too much on at the moment, when you're a bit more sorted you should try an evening class, it's great fun and everyone mixes in, and you would do great....
As for the wallpaper, it sounds a bit like anaglypta, so should be easy to paint if it is (I know it's a nightmare to get off once it has been painted and can take away bits of plaster and stuff too, creating more hassles). have PM'd you back Mozzy...
If you have tested a spot and you're having trouble or it is over wallpaper and it is just bubbling up, there is a paint called 'zinzzer' which is fantastic (most decorator centres sell it, but you won't find it in B&Q's ect), it seals a multitude of sins and you can paint over it in any colour once you have done it. The waterbased one is best if you want to emulsion over it, but they have an oil based one too...
Knew it would be a late night tonight as we went out, and am just watching the end of 'Tough Guys' - I love this film, done in the eighties with Burt Lancaster and Kirk Douglas - brilliant fun...
