Morning everyone,
I have been around most of the week. Just lurking and not posting though.:o
Had a lovely surprise yesterday. Little Bruv just appeared from nowhere:j. It was lovely to see him. But he has to go back out there on Thursday I think it is.
So what was I doing when Little Bruv appeared? I was in the middle of one of my mad, ruthless, flinging moments. They don't happen often, but when they do they are normally very effective.I have a big, big cupboard in the kitchen which is known as the 'scary cupboard'. Mainly because it's alarmingly scary just how much flippin stuff accumulates in it in a very short space of time.
So the contents of this cupboard were strewn all over the kitchen floor, table, worktops, cooker and anywhere else I could find to put it all. DH and I were conflabbing and head scratching over whether or not to move the shelves about that live in there. He gave up in the end and left it up to me.So they got moved.:D
Then, I just went flingtastic. Pigpen would have been seriously proud. Should of taken before and after piccys but didn't think to at the time. I filled 1 recycle bin with paper, 2 bin bags of just rubbish and junk. And 1 big box to be decluttered to a charity shop tomorrow.:T:D Oh, it looks fab now!!!
The only problem is that I've made so much room in it and it looks so fab, DD(6) has taken such a shine to it that she's 'moved in' She spent 4 hours in it yesterday evening, playing with her arty crafty stuff and 'decorating' the walls. I did have to draw the line at her wanting to sleep in there though. And has promptley got up this morning and gone straight in the cupboard:rolleyes:The one plus to this 'cupboard thang' is that my living room and her bedroom are staying remarkably tidy;)
So I'm gonna get on with a bit of flying I think now and we'll see how long she stays in there today:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Oh and congratulations to pigpens sis on the little pink one:T0 -

Morning All
Just a brief visit, I have finally got this horrible cold  so have just got up for some more medication, then going back to bed. I am desperatley trying to dose myself up because I have my MRI scan tomorrow & can't afford to be coughing when in the scanning machine, you have to keep very still:eek: so any spare 'positive vibes' that I can shift it by then would be appreciated :A
Quick S&S in the kitchen as I go

Morning All
Hope everyone's well today.
LL sending you healing 'cold/cough go away' vibes!!! Hope all goes well for tomorrow.
Toots I love the idea of your list. Well done you for having such a proactive way of sorting out all those nagging tasks. :T :T Your kintting sounds like an ongoing one though. Could you set yourself a 30mins a day task with it? Maybe when you have a coffee or something?
Jennybee Woo Hoo!!! Congratulations!!!! That's wonderful news. Well done you. How lovely, another new Flybaby.
newby money saving chicki having trouble with cleaning and keeping bambino entertained.... It is really hard, and if it helps at all, please know that almost everyone feels like that. And those that don't, I'm convinced are lying!!!
There's been some great advice for you. Take it really steady, tiny bits at a time. I used to put my LO in a high chair wherever I was, so I could crack on. Also, I had a tape of her favourite tv show... Teletubbies at the time! She would sit in front of the tv while I quickly got something done. She didn't sleep for more than 20 mins during the day
My best piece of advice is.... The task will still be there, but your opportunity to sleep will be gone.
Hex good for you re: utilising a nursery to give you a bit of space, I think it's such a good idea if you can do it. :T
And if we're doing quick birth stories.... I don't have the record for the quickest, but it was pretty dramatic!!! My DD3's birth..... I was only 36.5 weeks, so when I felt a little odd, I didn't think much of it. DH suggested a bath... had my bath, then needed to go to the loo. Then OMG, action stations!!!! My waters broke, had my show, and the mother of all contractions! This was 10.30am. My contractions came SO quickly, that we called the hosp to get them to send a midwife to me! They told us to call an ambulance!
The ambulance arrived at 11.10, got me to hosp at 11.20, at 11.23, after 1 push, she was born!!
           Just made it! So what does that make it.... 53 mins? :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:MMSSB Club Founder Member
