Toots you will have snail mail...

Been to town to get bits for DD and bumped into a mum from football. I had a text this am cancelling tomorrows game. She has heard nothing (and they bring 2 other boys) and the meet was 9.30 and it's an away match! She wasn't very pleased...

    Congratulations Jennybee and family.

Well, I crashed and burned this week. Not so much flying, as slithering along on my belly, pausing for breath every few seconds.

Still, there's always next week, right?

I am still baking bread every day. Still cooking everything from scratch. My laundry pile is negligable (not enough for a full load) and the kitchen is tidyish.
That is still an improvement from a couple of months ago!

Jennybee many congratulations on your new son; enjoy, cuddle, coo, enjoy and cuddle some more - such precious days in the weeks and months ahead.

I'm very proud of myself as I have just done something I have never done before. I bought a whole chicken and portioned it. I often cook a whole bird but I wanted breast chunks for the casserole (cause that's what we prefer) and legs and wings for the boys for later in the week. It did not go too badly and I was amazed at how big the breasts are on what was a small bird (anyone see the dispatches program about them injecting water into breasts? - well worth a watch on 4OD). Soappie - any tips for when I do it again as to order, technique etc? Hope NN enjoys her supper.

Time to get the washing in and more the stuff I declutter from the living room!

Hi all, I hope you'll forgive me for being a bit slack with the cleaning but just to let you all know that Jonathan Douglas was born at 6.42am on 20th January weighing 9lb 4oz. He's currently asleep so I have managed to fold some washing which is the extent of my housekeeping for the week!!!

Hope everyone is doing well :)

Hawthorn there is always next week, that is what I have been saying too
Dusty if you search for 'joint chicken' on youtube there is a video on there I used, UKTVfood one, only done it once. I did a turkey once aswell.

Well I got my list done apart from the floor which I edited out, boys as you know have a complete meltdown when I vacuum so decided to do it all at once instead of one room at a time. I also gathered up MORE laundry from upstairs, I know I didn't do a load two days this week but 6 in a day so far! I've dug through the freezer. I can't decide if I should have a sling it in risotto or baked potatoes for tea (got bacon needs using and some ready baked spuds)..............I might do the potatoes for the boys and risotto for me, that sounds like a plan. I've filled the DW which is now on, got a sticky pan soaking. Oh I wiped the inside of the WM too, it's whiffing a bit and not long since I ran a hot vinegar wash so might need it again.

I'm going to pop over the meal plan thread now, find some inspiration I hope as my motivations still missing.

Oh I figured (I think) why I have a squiffy DS2, 5 litres of fresh juice since Thursday evening, apple and orange. I've been writing down what he's eating/drinking and thats at least what he's had that I know of, he's also pinches swigs out of it. That added to raisins, bananas and beans he's been eating. No wonder he's running to the loo all the time.

Right, meal plan then do my next list
One day I might be more organised...........

We have all been waiting and wondering .......... :D

My Mr T order arrived on time and with nothing missing and NO substitutions :T I have put it all away now. Also put on a load of washing and filled a binbag with rubbish from around the house. Not much else though as I think I have a cold coming and don't feel like doing much  :o
