Not sure BUT it used to be called Leeds-Bradford. Might still be.

Crafty, where bouts in Scotland are you? A few years ago DS2 was in a STARband and we were driving from Ayr to Leeds about once a month. It took us a full day (regular stops for DS2) but if yoru on your own it's not too bad.

No idea where the airport is but if your driving get a map cos the road signs are weird, we kept getting lost and that's my excuse!

crafty - lil_me is correct, the airport is between leeds and bradford, a place called Yeadon. I think there are buses into leeds regularly but worth checking.

    Many thanks to you all.
I had a look at various sites and the airport is obviously not that near to Leeds.
Tia - thanks, but no way would I drive that distance. I'm not that keen on driving at the best of times and that distance would make me fit for nothing when I got there. Since I will probably have to stay at least one night (depending on what time the meeting is) I think the train will probably be my best option.
Again my thanks - you are a super bunch.

And I have been flying - trying to sort out my magazine collections so I can make space for this year's binders. And yes I have recycled some stuff.

hex household filing, generally all utility bills (including council tax) keep for 1 year, credit card bills etc 1 year, bank statements at least 1 year (I keep these for 2), wage slips shredded once P60's received. Only keep current insurance documents (unless a claim is progressing) BUT I do keep at least the one previous motor policy to prove on going no claims history. I tend to keep all tax documentation (including tax credit stuff) for at least 7 years. HTH
    Thanks, AnW'sMum.
Looks as if I can do some shredding then. I'm sure I've got statements going back further than that.

I'm sitting down with a cuppa to do my mealplan, which should be nice and easy because DH is eating at work at lunchtime 2 days and I'm out with my best mate on another! Very little left in my GC budget so it's going to be a cheap shop I hope!

I'll be doing a HHC 2.15-2.45pm if anyone wants to join me? I'll be dysoning right through and washing the kitchen & bathroom floors (really must buy a mop!!)

I'll join you again rach - gives me just enough time to get dressed into my gym stuff and try to move everything that OH has left in front of the understairs cupboard so I can get out our hoover. Oh and also make a cup of redbush tea.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

Crafty you NEED to keep anything pertaining to tax for 7 years because that's how long they can go back for - having said that I always save P60s P45s for longer because you cannot get replacements. Like AnWs Mum I shred wage slips once I have the P60

I also save all WFTC stuff - not least because I was affected by their mess up - but I do check duplicates.

Other stuff I save -CAR - MOT certs - as long as I have the car because they are proof of mileage - any receipts for servicing/repair as they support proof of service history. Save insurance docs/ renewals as proof of NCB

Bank statements - 1 year UNLESS they show interest credited as this then drops them into the tax documents category - you need to prove interest paid nett of tax - anything to do with tax has to be saved 7 years as the tax office can go back that far to claim unpaid tax from you.

All bills - save a years worth.

Am feeling chirpy (despite aunt Flo) as have wrapped DDs birthday presents and am almost there...
AF not causing problems this time particularly but I am at home (and she arrived Thurs 2 weeks late) so that helps...didn't take the tablets though.

Flying wise - WM x 2 on line

    evening peeps :hello:

i am still fighting with my pc (and with kids to actually get ON my pc  ) - and with OH just because he's an absolut grump today

had a rough night with 2 coughing children so i am rather tired anyways.
convienced oh to take the kids out to windsor and feed the ducks/swans - half the time he was on his phone to work and then wonders why i am fed up

    i am better now :D

    not much flying done!
sc is on with beef soup (kids absolutly love it!) - playroom is tidy and sweeped.

i've just got feedback that our last viewers don't want the house either  - apparently it looks too 'dated' - which i kind of understand. but it's on the cheaper side to reflect that; but we all know it's a buyers market and they dictate the price!
so i need a backup plan!!!!!!!!
    i need to decorate

i hate decorating - OH is uselss, well he can do it it's only a thing about when!!! he always agrees to everything and nothing gets done ... so i do it myself :D - now! where do i start

toots great going with your list!! :T
greenbee is the cake ready for testing?!? :D

    can't remember anything else :o

Tuesday - kitchen and dining mess
    Level One
    [strike]Clear and wipe work surfaces[/strike]
    [strike]Wipe and replace small appliances[/strike]
    Level Two
Empty cutlery drawer.. wash cutlery tray and replace everything neatly
[strike]Wipe the front of the units, kickboards and the large appliances[/strike]
    Sweep the floor
    Level Three
    Clean out the fridge
    Extras
    1. Clean filters and detergent dispensers
Friday - FLING - Living room, Hall and stairs
    Level Two
    Vacuum stairs and floors
    Wipe sofas

I got the hoover out and realised it needed emptying before I could use it, so I emptied it, and because I didn't do it correctly (this is usually OH's job), the filter etc all came apart and dust went everywhere (luckily I'd had the foresight to do it out in the garden), so in the end I had to wash it all. It's outside drying at the moment, so hopefully I'll be able to use it properly this evening as the charcoal part will take a while to dry (this is in the sink).

  • AnW'sMum I will definately let you know how the tangleteaser goes. I too have long hair, and so often lose huge amounts due to tangles, so if it works on mine.... I'm sure it would work on anyone's !!
I'll do it after I pick up DS, or I just know I'll get caught out midway!:rotfl:
