    Plans for today:
    • Temporarily unblock the greasetrap at school and depart early to grab a shower and get rid of the smell.
    • Visit farmers market and collect pig
    • Collect £35 from a cash point to replace the cash I borrowed from DD1, pay this weeks pocket money and cover their riding lessons.
    • Go through check book stubs and work out what is actually left in my bank account plus a £10 safety net just in case. Pay this amount off the debt as its payday on Tuesday and I won't need any cash before then. Whooppeeeee.
    • Purchase x-mas gifts for minions
    • Post flea bay parcel
    • Do all the tings I didn't get done yesterday or the day before or the day before that
    • Wash bedding so its fresh for tonight. OH won't be back until v. late so at leat I'll get some of the perks I would have got yesterday had I not been a lazy tart.
    • Load dishwasher. Kitchen looks like a bomb site. Its only a small step but its one job less to do.

Its chuffing freezing, quite literally. Am very tempted to light the fire cos its below freezing in the big bad world outdoors.

Was very restrained at the farmers market parting with £78 for enough meat to feed the three carnivores for a minimum of 45 meals, quite probabably a lot more. Have a joint and a few chops for someone at work which will drop my overall spend to £70 which is even better.

Wasing machine is already on its second load of the day. Parcel is posted next step is the cramming of the dishwasher in the hopes I can get most of the stuff in there resulting in an instantly tidy kitchen. Not holding my breath though.

Have ordered two x-mas pressies for OH. Knowing that he'll have something to open x-mas day alleviates the pressure somewhat.

Remebered that I still haven't posted the Music Magpie stuff so will be doing that next.

Bedding now going round and round in the washing machine much to the cats amusement.

    Hey Moo,

thanks for the pep talk over chez moi & bizarrely my DD also maintains the microwaved cheese on toast being a great delicacy theory ! Admire your ability to store so many carcasses at home whilst being a veggie - what a warrior woman :)

7pm found us standing in thhe co-op purchasing milk on the way home. Waves of carn't be arsedness washing over me I splurged and spent a whole 49p on a reduced spinach and ricotta canneloni. 8 minutes in the microwave later a pile of gently steaming seaweed wrapped in sheet pasta and caked in hot white slime was consumed. I hate instant food but on this occassion it was hot and calorie laden and saved me cooking. The DDs were perfectly happy with tinned sphagetti on toast again. OH appeared at bedtime clutching a kebab. Minimalistic washing up to be done this morning.

Gave in and went to bed early last night. Cold has now procedded to the hacking cough stage whereby my throat lining is likely to part company with the rest of my body. Suffice to say I feel like pants again. Still horse riding is back to the DDs usual half hour lesson in the field so perhaps I'll be able to persuade OH to take them and I'll curl up on the sofa in front of the fire instead.

Finally worked out why my bank account had more cash in than I expected. Had only included the cheque from the vet and not my gramps. Have done my maths and transferred the surplus cash in my account to the debt. Have also signed up to the sub 20K challenge. We *will* be debt free by x-mas next year. No a clue how. Probably the most ridiculous challenge ever but since we've roughly halved the debt in the last year we can shift the same amount next year with a lot of effort. Will be starting mystery shopping again after x-mas. A shop a week is at least £600 over the year.

I eventually managed everything on yesterdays to do list apart from the vacuuming so I'll be starting todays with that.

    So things to do today:
    • Vacuum all carpets to within an inch of their life
    • investigate potential causes of allopecia in cat. Fighting is most likely, followed closely by fleas *again*
    • Tidy, tidy and tidy some more
    • threaten to with-hold pocket money if DDs do not tidy their bedrooms
    • Await avalancehe of washing generated by DDs tidying their rooms
    • Return all clothing bearing evidence of ironing or still being folded to DD1 and give her an earbending to go with.
    • Panic mildly about the school calendars which still haven't been sent home especialy those that I need to post to far flung relatives. Dig out addresses for these and write letters to go with so that they can be posted the minute they are sent home.
    • Work out how much holiday I have left and plan my schedule of appearances over x-mas hols and feb half term so that my boss has a very vague idea when I'll be at school
    • Feel mildly gleeful that I'm not at school enduring this mornings film club until lunch time. Did set out all the chairs in the hall before I left last night to placate boss who will most likely have a hang over after last nights staff bass at a v. expensive restaurant.
    • Work out what the heck to do with my face which has sprouted more blackheads than the average teenage boy. Am thinking perhaps the vicks vapo rub might have something to do with it as that appears to migrate during the night.
    • Consider cleansing, toning, moisturising and a facepack. Clearly this is dependant upon discovering some of the afore mentioned items lurking in a forgotten corner of a cupboard. DD2 was using my strawberry body scrub in the bath to massage her feet as it felt really nice and smelt scrummy. Baaaah humbug. Suffice to say there isn't any left.

    More things to do today:
    • DooYoos (only 33 to go)
    • Muck out chickens - poo had frozen to the floor yesterday
    • Write mega shooping list. Intend to hit the supermarket once and only once next week purchasing the remainder of the x-mas gifts and a congrats on your first house, job and degree graduation ceremony for a friend. Hoping after this one trip I can avoid supermarkets until January. Means I need shed loads of coffee, animal food and loo rool and a mega cupboard clear out to be able to store it all.
    • Bake fruit cake for x-mas gift for neighbours and ask them to animal sit over X-mas
    • Plan birthday cake for DD2 and enough buns to feed her entire class and fill thier lunch boxes next week.
    • Dig out joint from freezer for tomorrows dinner. Brain wasn't in gear when I played tetris with the pig yesterday.
    • Locate box of frozen apple and make crumble when oven is on (most likely tomorrow too as its too cold here for anything to thaw out quickly).
    • Locate suitable pressie for OHs friends son from stash in cupboard.
    • Consider visit to Borders as rumours of much reduced books circulate t'internet. Unfortunately the only one in the area ins in the middle of an outlet village where parking is impossible after 9am from the middle of November. The place doesn't open until 9:30. Do I really need any more books??? Humph. No not really. May have to be very restrained and not go.
