*Chucks ironing over*
More snow here~gah.
Would love to help but have abandoned ironing after proving that irons don't bounce very well. A lesser known fact is that bounced irons have a tendancy to catch fire generating an impressive amount of smoke. Have flung open all the windows to fumigate the place. Its chuffing freezing.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -
That post made me giggle M2M :rotfl::rotfl:

Fresian thoughts in red for your consideration...
Method- Accept that which I cannot change and tolerate it (easier said than done) I do similar, Mr Fresian (due to depression and high-impact brain meds) doesn't sleep at any normal times. He's up all hours of the night. I can't change this so don't nip his head about it. Unless like this weekend he's promised to take me to the zoo, in which case I'm going to jump on his head at 9am..
- Do more in the house so at least thats one less thing to irritate me. I'm glad you're doing that for you and not for him. You shouldn't be trying to avoid someone's wrath. That way madness lies.
- Do less on the PC. If it really does irritate him that much I'll be making a point of doing it only when hes not around to object although I really need the outlet to vent at the moment. I understand why you're doing this, but you can't change you for someone else and should not be modifying your behaviour to avoid the consequence of him shouting at you. That's emotional abuse and you're worth a hell of a lot more than that.
- Do something for me. No matter how small. Because I am not worthles no matter what. No you're not. You're an amazing woman who is doing everything she can to keep her family together and pay off debts and still manages to amuse and entertain the internets who read her diary avidly. Take good care of yourself, because the DDs need you and you're no good to them if your amazing spirit gets broken.

I can only echo what advise you have already been given. You sound like you are coming to the end of your very long tether xxxStart Date: 27/11/2010

Oh Moo - you poor yet dauntless thing. Sending you massive hugs.
I can understand the point of view that says he has to deal with it & you can't interfere (massive paraphrasing) but the fact that you have to take the abuse etc is wrong, even if you are telling yourself it's the alcohol not him.
I don't know whatthe answer is, honey. Look after yourself and your children & do what's best for you@ LBM = £15,872.65, now £10,819.82AF Jan = 7/? Feb = 5/14 Mar = 14/20 Apr = 6/14 May = 2/14 June 2/14 July 0/TF Aug 1/TFv Sept 6/TF Oct 4/7"NEVER DOUBT YOUR OWN QUALITY"0 -
Popping out of lurkdom just to say perhaps you should print off that post and show him. If its in black and white he may take heed. (((hugs))).Mortgage and Debt free but need to increase savings pot. :think:0

Hey Moo, really sorry to hear you are going through this. I'm sending tons of positive vibes over to you. I love reading your diary, you write in a very engaging and interesting way and I am always astounded at how much you fit in.
I have enough trouble keeping my own flat clean and tidy (and I only have a bedroom and I share the kitchen & bathroom!!!) so I certainly don't envy your place.
I don't have much experience of people with drinking problems but a very close friend of mine has tried for years to try and help her mother. She tried all sorts of strategies but from what I understand the basic principle of addiction is that you can't force anyone to change - they need to want to change themselves.
I don't have any advice to give you but I hope that you figure out what to do and that your plan works.
You really deserve to be happier and you must definitely do something just solely for yourself each day.I've got my own flat :j:j
Now I have to pay the bills
And feed my interiors addiction0 -
Thank you all!
Today is another day and one in which I almost had a good nights sleep. OH was in agony after his visit to Attila the dentist, came home and went straight to bed. Don't think he slept very well but I did, right up until DD2 decided to impersonate a sealion. Shes developed a really nasty cough. I forsee a day off school which won't go down well as they're practicing dragon dances for tomorrows Chinese New Year celebrations.
Have to do a mini tidy up of the garden first thing as the LPG company are sending out their head honcho to perform a tank inspection problem is he needs to be able to get to the pipework and thats rather buried in junk. Its a bit like Steptoes Yard.
Need to do lots of shopping this week but probably won't get chance before the weekend. On my list are an iron and an ironing board cover (another thing thats cheesing me off) although I've seen a fab moo coo print one on Flea-bay which is rather tempting.
Considering blowing lots of Mr T's clubcard vouchers on cinema tickets so that I can take the DDs a couple of times over half term. Theres a limit to the number of bike rides you can take when its raining.
Plans for today extend as far as a mini blitz on the lounge come family room come office which is in fact three dusty cobweb strewn open plan rooms knocked into one. The addition of the clothes airer and laundry pile makes this more like Widow Twankees than a chic advertisment for open plan living. Its the warmest area in the house though.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -

Mmmmm although perhaps he won't take me ranting about him to the world at large too kindly. Its one thing doing it anononononmously (how the heck do you spell it? Its too early for the brain cell to function) and quite another when someone says thats you that is.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -
