£110 later I still haven't collected the car or this weeks bill from the garage but I am the proud owner of 2 roof mounted cycle carrier, a roof rack (surplus and destined for fleabay) several pairs of knickers for DD1 as hers are both small and scummy in fact I'm amazed shes not a boy and lots and lots of clothes washing liquid. Whilst I was flashing the cash (and included in the £110) we treated ourselves to a chinese for two in Mr Ts which came to a fiver thanks to a Ken Hom promotion. Cheaper than dinner out.
Anyhow since its a child free weekend and I should be making the most of it I woke up feeling like shoite, I am most definately green around the gills and have spent most of the day (apart from that spent at the garage or mr Ts or collecting impulsive flea bay purchases) on the sofa under a mountain of blankets playing DS games in between power naps.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -
I love TescoWell Ok thats a bit bonkers even for me but having been paid £8 for a ten minute survey they're up their on my list of favourite survey companies.
Ok, now I'm starting to see your logicTheir programme is called "shopper thoughts" and is by invite only although it may be worth harassing Tesco to see if you can apply to join the panel
hmmm  not entirely convinced that they would like my thoughts but the harassing bit certainly appeals :rotfl:0 -
I'm not entirely sure they value my thoughts either though but at £48 an hour I really don't care. Just wish I was that well paid normally.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500

I was e-mailed one a couple of years ago when they launched the programme but haven't seen them actively recruiting since but they've got to replace those panel members who leave somehow.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500

Meanwhile at midnight it was just cold and starry. Seven hours later we have 4 inches of snow and the Met Office are predicting another four days of the stuff. Now have to work out how to get the DDs home from Grandads as the idea of them leaving at 6pm after dinner doesn't really work any more. Will phone them in a bit and give them the good news. Don't want to risk driving as I went white and flaked out yesterday, still not feeling completely normal. I hate being ill.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500

Last nights Ken Hom chinese extravaganza was pants. Other then being two different colours with and without rubbery bits there was nothing to distinguish between sweet and sour chicken and chicken and mushroom. Won't be buying that again. Wishing we'd just had spicy beans on toast instead, it would have been tastier.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500

Feeling as human as I'm likely to get so plans for today are somewhat manic using every labour saving appliance known to man. Need to load washig machine and dishwasher in an attempt to clear up the kitchen before the arrival of the wrinklies. Also need to do something with the bathrooms and a quick whoosh round with the vac and I've still got several huge (but folded) piles of laundry to put away. Then I need to get listing on Flea-bay. Have a huge pile of stuff to get shut off which should net me £100 but first I need to list it.
Meanwhile saw an ad. on the telly box for Lets Dance on the Wii. Fancied it when Lula and Floozie both recommended it but resisted temptation. However my willpower ain't what it was.... so challenge of the day... if the stuff I list on Flea-bay this weekend exceeds £150 I will treat myself to it.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -
I had a 'chinese banquet' from Morrisons for £3 t'other day (reduced from £6) - well, what a pile of rubbish. It was awful. I'll be sticking to my own homemade (sort of) chinese style meals made with cheap chicken, jar of sauce and microwave rice in future.Start Date: 27/11/2010

Pants, pants and pants again (and not the cyberspace heavy breathing variety). Turns out Flea-bays free listings were Thursday and Friday not Saturday and Sunday. Only discovered this after I'd spent over an hour taking photos. As its all the sort of stuff I'd want to list at £10 + start prices and take the gamble that it doesn't sell rather than risk it going for peanuts I'm just a bit cheesed off. Must consult an actual calendar next time dates arrive in my in-box.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500
