    End of month(ish) Review
Have I managed to stick to my plan?
    1. Keep a track of all my incomings and outgoings
Spreadsheet kept updated and also writing things down on a 'financial' sheet in my filofax as I do things so I don't forget things like getting £10 cash out.
    2. Make at least one overpayment to a debt per month
Overpayed my loan- clearing it off and saving £11 (whoo hoo!) in interest. Also overpayed my Halifax credit card.
    3. Always think 'do I NEED this, or WANT this?' before I buy anything.
Have not been as 'good' this month as previously. I will have to start leaving my bank cards at home again, after withdrawing my weekly cash budget. Especially as I am aiming for that elusive 'not going into my overdraft at all' this month :D
    4. Always look for a cheaper option.
Definitely doing this! Starting to do BF's head in at the supermarket as everytime I go off to find something I spend ages looking at all the special offers and deceiding what's the cheapest way to get what we want! It took me 10 minutes last week to deceide what eggs to buy because there were so many offers on I had to weigh up all the options (6 organic free range worked out best in case you are interested:rotfl: )
So quite a successful month. I didn't go crazy with spending this month but it could have been tighter. Going to revert back to what I did the first couple of months which was taking out cash and leaving the cards at home so I'm not tempted my wasteful spending, and really have to think through what I'm buying and do I really want it.
I think I may also join the March NSD challenge, 15 again me thinks.

Feel better today, obviously it was a random one day cold

Almost managed a NSD day today, we have deceided to have a takeaway for tea at the last minute. Still, it is a money saving takeaway. £12 meal deal=

2xcurries (quite a good choice. I like lamb rogan josh, OH likes chicken dishes)
    rice
    naan bread
    popadoms + spicy yoghurt dip
    salad
    chips
    onion bhajis
    2x cans of pepsi.

    Not a bad deal really.

Still, might manage my first NSD tomorrow! And as of tomorrow will have paid another £40 back to OH so will be -£790! Inching my way to -£1000. Have deceided that to celebrate that milestone I will buy myself another bead for my Pandora bracelet (the only thing of value I own) so that it will remind me of my achievement.

This is the bead I want- rosebud charm. it is only £20 so not a massive splurge

Actually managed to have NSD day yesterday after all! OH paid for takeaway. I'm quite sure he'll ask for the money at some point but for now... takeaway enjoyed and not a penny spent :D
And after payment to OH went out today debt now stands at £6024, so within next 2 weeks should be less than £6000! :j

Aiming for NSD no2 today! :)
  • Well done on your latest milestone - glad to hear you're feeling better.
