well done for getting such bargains, can't imagine how you could get all that for £5

DVD was £3, and the other two were from that fabulous institution- Poundland! :D

He was impressed too, and seemed more happy with the £1 sharpening stone than the DVD. Don't know what he's gonna sharpen with it though!

I did quite well too: got a bottle of cava and a cuddly toy (he's a big soppy) and he MADE me some chocolate truffles- 3 flavours: plain choc, fruit and nut, and choc and ginger. VERY nice. Mega chocolately. (he overspent a little but then, he's not sorting any debts out!)

Today we are going to the cinema and to pizza hut. We wanted to see 'My Bloody Valentine' in 3D, but it's only showing at 9.30pm so we are probably going to see the new Disney Pixar film Bolt in 3D instead. So good day ahead, gonna get pick n mix from Wilkos before cinema so it's cheaper! That's if we will want pick n mix after pizza! :rotfl:

Darn interest- moved total cleared from £738 to £707

Interestingly, (please excuse the pun) if I only paid the minimum payment off of my Halfax credit card this month I would only clear 37p off of the debt  as the minimum payment is only 1% and the interest is only 37p less than the min payment!

I think this is disgusting as there will be plenty of people out there who are not paying attention and happily paying the minimum and will not realise that this will keep them in debt with the card company literally FOREVER!

minimums are so evil aren't they? i remember my friend hitting the roof when they changed the calculation of the minimum on one of her cards. I understand that she couldn't afford the increase but even with it increasing by 3 x she was still barely covering the interest, and that didn't bother her one bit.

OH and I agreed we would only do cards this valentines, and do something today for our anniversary, he decided to treat me to a DAB radio (which has had to be returned because it doesn't pick anything up) and i bought him a memory foam pillow. guess the agreement didn't work. I did make OH a lovely two course meal tonight so that bit worked.

Well, it's thought that counts. :)
Actually the chocs he made are a bit sickly so I can only manage one or two at a time, but he MADE them. Lots of thought and time. Bless him.

I was gonna make a heart shaped refridgerater cake (basically chocolate and digestive biscuits and raisins and walnuts) but I had no time to make it where he wouldn't see! Great minds think alike and all that...

Paid an extra £10 to BF today, so now I owe him £300 (started at £400), and will finish paying him back by the end of the year- unless I manage to give him a little extra now and then. I'd like to get him paid back ASAP so I can the put the money I am paying him towards the credit cards!

Have now paid off £746 in total, since November.

£746 is an annoying number. I might send £4 to my credit card to make it a nice round £750. :)

Thanks :D Next step £1000! Hope to have cleared that much by, hmmm, April? Yeah, April sounds good. Also it's by birthday at the beginning of April so if I get any dubious presents I can always Ebay them. Waste not, want not:D
