Tried to pay off my barclaycard today but spent ages going around in circles on the automated payment option so I had to give up. I'll try again tomorrow... very annoying. Especially as I spent aaaaggges trying to convince a guy that I really did want to cancel my card, no it wasn't something they'd done wrong I JUST WANT TO CANCEL!!!

Are you set up for online with them? Their online service is fabulous....just a shame that the muppets on their phoneline can't just CLOSE MY BLOODY ACCOUNT :mad:

HAve finally payed it off!! Hurray. And it should now be properly closed down Hurrah! D

I got the letter yesterday saying 'you have closed you account as requested, very sorry to see you go etc etc' I felt like framing it. Over 10 years and I have finally bloody paid them off and shut them down! Hurrah! Only 2 more to go now

Right forget that... I've gone back to my original purple idea as the venue we visited today had tables set up with purple (purple and cream fabric petals and tea lights) and it just looked simple and lovely. So purple it is. Oh, how fickle I am... :rotfl:
