Morning All!
So tried to go out for a run today but realised that the reason I've been so tired the past few days is I have a cold
I'm all achy and stiff and sniffy as well - bluergh!
But this is the first time I've been even remotely ill since September last year so I'm not moaning (honest guv)...
Anyway so I didnt get far today and decided to save myself for the long run tomorrow instead
Happy running all - I'm off to find some custard (just the job when you're feeling below par)

I want custard too!!!!:p
You don't have to be 'below par' to qualify for custard therapy in my book!:D
But if it helps get rid of your gremlins, have a bucket full and enjoy!:pGt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j

Ukevas, nice to see you're not overdoing it and sticking a rest day in
Well I haven't been posting, but I have been runningwill post my totals on monday.
I was supposed to have a rest day today, I signed up for a taster course in 'half marathon training' at the community centre round the corner from me. I thought it would be all theory (run plans, diet and the like) so I turned up in my jeans. And had to nip home to change halfway thru as the tutor took us to the field next door for some interval training, then off for a short run.
Cos it was for all abilities there was too much walk/jog for my liking, and the jog was a bit slow, but I still clocked up 2.39 miles, and I enjoyed the company.
I've signed up for the next 8 weeks, so it will be good to help progress up to half marathon levelDebt Free as of 17/01/2009 Turtle Power!!

becky, sorry you have the cold too......but custard sounds good to me!
I was going to go out for a run this afternoon (have only just got back in after running the children around to various ski related activities) but as the day has gone on, my cold has got more draining, if that makes sense - I actually feel better in myself, but my lips are dry, and my eyes feel sore, so I am going to give my cold some respect today, then hit it first thing in the morning when the children are skiing, before it realises that I have done something, and head out for a few steady miles.
The blister is much better today too, so another day off my feet will hopefully make all the difference there.
I JUST WANNA RUN :rolleyes:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Hi all, haven't posted much this week, but I have still been getting the miles in! Tues 6.5m; Thurs 9.75m; Today 15m  . I didn't do my intervals on Monday as my legs were still recovering from Sunday's race but I'll have a little 4-miler tomorrow to get me up to 35 for the week. I found today's run hard work. I got a stitch 2/3rds of the way round and it really hampered me - must have been the jelly babies
. Managed it in 2:29 so nice easy 10-minute miles.
I didn't know Rich was keeping a log of all our mileage. You must be in spreadsheet heaven.
Evab - I hope your chiropracter manages to get your back sorted out. It sounds really painful.
Beck - mmmmmmm....custard...hope the cold gets better. Don't push it tomorrow if you aren't feeling ok. It won't help you in the long run ('scuse the pun!) and may well set you back. You have plenty of miles in the bank. You will be OK on M-day!
Rich - good solid running this week. Hope you have a good 'un on Sunday in Dewsbury.Sealed Pot Challenge #8 £341.90
