    Hi All,

Hope we're all having a good day.

Just got back from today's lunchtime run -did 8.5 in 1:05:53, which I was quite pleased with - 7:45 avg over that distance is definitely a step in the right direction, especially as more or less the same route took me 1:16 or somesuch this time last week (although I was focusing more on time this time...)

Idio, thats more than a step in the right direction. That equates to an average pace equivalent to something like a 48:15 10K but continued for another 2.3 miles.

Thats pretty much back on track with your previous fitness, so about to venture into new heights of running fitness soon!:D

    Week22
    Mon26/1 Rest Day
    Tues27/1 3 x 1 Mile Intervals (6:32, 6:17, 6:10) (Average 6:20) (Pulse 130)
    Tues27/1 10K 54:18 (8:45/mile) (Pulse 92)
    Weds28/1 10.0 Miles 1:22:10 (8:13/mile) (Pulse 96)
    Thurs29/1 14.0 Miles 2:01:20 (8:40/mile) (Pulse 94)
    Fri30/1 12.0 Miles 1:45:14 (8:46/mile) (Pulse 94)

Right, its now fingers crossed time!

With close to 50 miles covered in the last 4 days and runs of 10miles, 12miles, 14miles and 15.5miles since Sunday, it is now a question of whether all that will bed down in time for the attempt at 40 minutes for the Dewsbury 10K on Sunday or whether it will be a case of heavy legs and a slow time.

Whichever way it goes, it will have been a good solid week of training!

Hi Sallyx.....I couldn't work out how to get it to connect either, but I rang their freephone customer services and got a very nice young man :D who was happy to talk the numpty woman (me) through setting it up step by step......then he happily waited on the phone while I tested it out to make sure I wouldn't trouble him again!

So, give the customer services a call, because I can't remember what I actually had to DO! I was too busy being impressed with the fact that the phonecall was a) free, b) answered by a UK national, and c) very helpful and not patronising!

and anyway, Rich says slow is good......I jolly well hope so because I am slow too!

Evening all, I've got painkillers and anti-inflammitories from doc. Going to see a Chiropractor on Tuesday to try and get some help with defining what the problem is and if I can improve it.

Can't really afford it but hey ho, if it gets my back better then it will cut down on days off work.

    Evab,

You cant really put a price on getting rid of that sort of pain, can you?

Wishing you the best of luck in getting some sort of result with the chiropractor!
