I managed an hour of work then came home and went back to bed. I can't remember the last time I took time off work sick
I have spent the time (apart from sleeping), working out how my garmin can do intervals.......(Runners World was delivered today 3 issues for £1 - very MSE and it has instructions in there!) so now, despite having a head full of cotton wool and painful feet, I want to go and run!
but I won't.
Excellent efforts from people so far today!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Just rest up and enjoying being a techno wizz with your garmin. I was going to sign up to the magazine but wanted a annual subscription not just 3 issues so iv been waiting for them to put a better offer on but nothing yet.
Enjoy reading you very MSE magazines why you cannot run.Running Club5KM - 25:20(51.21%) 10KM - 53:40(50.26%)1/2 Marathon - 2.14.57(44.20%)Marathon 5:11:00 (40.78%)0 -

Actually, there is a very good article "Diary of a plodder" in there today.......I wonder why I found myself reading it nodding my head in agreement :rotfl:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. There is an ad for the Royal Parks half marathon in October - looks quite nice.....anyone got any experience of it? Is it fun/flat/going to get me round in under 2 hours/worth entering?Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. Um no it isnt flat...its in Hyde Park - my friend ran it this year - and I managed to go for a run on the day it was held (oooppps) - it was so pretty though...and he loved it so I reckon go for it!
Here's the course mapped out on mapmyrun:

Check out the elevation graph - the worst bits are mile 5-6 and miles 9-10, but it seems the route goes down on the big hill that I use for my hill intervals so thats good news!0 -
hmmmm - def one to think about then! I won't be able to do my April half, so an October one would be a good one to keep me working hard over the summer months I reckon.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground.
