Unfortunately your existing times dont get their WAVA ratings upgraded but any new runs from now on will have higher scores for the same performance - it is the age on the day of the performance that counts.

    Btw Happy Birthday. :D

Thanks krider I'd forgotten about updating my signature. I considered carrying on and completing 13 miles but decided that it wasn't worth pushing myself harder than I needed to. Plus I wanted to walk a bit to cool my legs down; although it felt good all the way round my legs still seized up as soon as I stopped and I could really feel that I'd put in some effort this morning.

I've got a rest day tomorrow and then a fartlek run on Tuesday. When are you running next?

Sorry simply - I didn't read the thread last night - watched a couple of movies with OH without surfing at the same time

I've just done a 4.3 mile run in 41:29 (9.39 avg. pace). So it was today, and then Wednesday/Friday/Sunday this week. Quite pleased with that after Saturdays exertions. Though the pace in the middle was a bit rubbish - slightly too fast too early (again :o) started to give me a stitch so I had to drop back a bit.

Total for the week = 4.3 miles

My legs were a bit stuff all of Saturday, but surprisingly OK on Sunday (apart from when crouching to weed the patio - ouch!). OH was finding me a source of humour when we were out and about on the Saturday - sitting still too long was bringing the stiffness back much to his amusement  :rotfl:

Healthy chocolate muffins... sound lovely :D

evab - congrats on the new longest distance. Great feeling when you manage that isn't it?

    Happpy Birthday Sammy

Right think I'm all caught up now!

Rich could you please add to the list that I will be attempting the Barton 10k this weekend. PS, I'm only 37 but can we pretend I'mm 44 so I get a better WAVA? :)

    Thanks

Happy Birthday sammy _party__party_; don't you listen to that young whipper snapper Uk - you're still just a youngster. (Well compared to an oldie like me you are :rotfl::rotfl:)

Are you going for a celebratory run??

It's a rest day for me today. Surprisingly my legs are not aching at all after my 12 miler yesterday - they didn't even complain when I was going up the stairs today. :D It will be interesting to see how they feel when I run tomorrow.
