Well I've found a ten miler for Oct 18th, luckily I have that day off too!! So I've emailed them for more info.
Does anyone have a website address with a good events list for the South West? It's taking me forever to search!

Have you tried Runner's World events listing, Raphael?

Sorry to hear that you're still under the weather Hypno; hopefully a trip to the Doc's will get you sorted.

Raphael - I use the RW listings but also find The Running Bug quite helpful. Another useful source for races has been my local running shop, Up and Running, they list races on their website too. I think they've got branches all over so might be of use to you.

Hey! I went for a run this morning! Just thought I would let you know I have got back to it. I haven't really done much, apart from a couple of 3-milers since Prague apart from hill-walking over the Bank Holiday weekend. OK, so it was only 4.2 miles (38 mins) but it felt really good. So good, I might do it again tomorrow.

Rich - your times are getting better and better. Some fantastic running there.
Hypno - It sounds as though you are feeling really under the weather. I hope things pick up for you soon. Ulcers - Ugh!

I've had a look, they seem to want me to buy a magazine subscription to view most of the races!

I've had a look at all of these and so far have come up with...

June 21st ~ Torbay Half Marathon
    Oct 18th ~ Honi-Ten

I mustn't be looking hard enough!

Raphael - where subscription is required on RW I copy the name of the race and paste it into Google. With a little bit of searching (for instance adding 2009 because it often brings up previous years races) I can usually find the right webpage to access more information and the entry form.

Went out for another morning run earlier today. Only 4 miles, but I found it really tough. A different route from yesterday, this one included a hill (OK, just an undulation to you Rich!) but I just couldn't seem to get into a rhythm at all. Oh well, there are good days and not-so-good days, it all balances out. I need to update my training plan for my next target race in September. It seems quite a long time away, but I'll have a look for some summer 10ks to keep me sharp until then.

    Happy running.

It seems you're starting to get back into a routine, Chick.

Its about right to have a couple of weeks doing not much at all and then easing back into it on a 'see how it feels' basis. So you're doing just fine.:D

September might sound a fair way off but its only the same as the time between the Pennine 10K and your marathon - and that didn't seem very long, did it? Maybe 15/16 weeks or so!
