I'm looking forward to a nice little run tonight. I don't want to overdo it but I'm itching to get back out there. Its funny, I did get the 'never again' feeling straight after the race, but now I'm feeling a bit sad that it is over, and I still want to do my Saturday long runs.
Sadly (or not!) on far far less experience I seem to have a similar addiction. No planned runs until 24th cos of walking in the Lakes and last night was trying to work out where I could squeeze one in at lunchtimes or on arrival or between walks  :rotfl: Think OH might be mildy upset if I did - and also I know the walking will tire me. Doh!

Good luck with the half you've picked. Several halfs going on in September on this thread :)

Ooh meant to say - glad the head is OK Rich - I missed all the nagging excitement last night

I would think about a treadmill for winter as its quite rural near me and dark in winter...

I'm the same Sammy - not that rural but lots of not very well lit underpasses and lots of wooded areas. Am hoping the lunchtime running continues to work for me in the week, then I may not need to.

Oooo I love winter running in Hyde Park in the dark with the foxes and horses for company - you just have to watch for twigs :D

The second pic is just before we turned the corner to come into the finishing straight. I couldn't remember where it was, so I checked out the chap just behind me and he finished within seconds of me, so it must have been at the end. Can't believe I look so fresh at that stage. :o I certainly didn't feel it!
As for the Preston vest, I always wear it on shorter runs, but it is made from a fabric that gets sticky and it rides up as I run. I figured I wouldn't be meeting many fellow club members so I thought I would risk it. :p
