I would be happy with 25 mins! But yes, I can see that you slowed down quite a lot - I find it really difficult to slow down over those first couple of miles, so I know where you are coming from.Sealed Pot Challenge 2013: No 1898

Mascot,
Just reading those splits I am feeling your pain as the lactic acid must have been screaming out of your legs!
All distances of 5K and above are about who slows down the least, negative splits are rare, but the best times are always run off steady starts.
Which is good news, of course, because you can clearly go significantly quicker!:DGt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j

KYCI - what is it that you are aiming for in your race? Your sig shows that you are already used to running the distance, so is it a particular time you are wanting?Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. Thanks sally! I would have preferred a few more days between the two races, but it wasn't to be! So I am pretty pleased with the time. did you manage to find any summer races?Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. I know what you mean - it is a shame we don't have the parkrun things near to us....I would def be taking part in those if they were available!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground.
