So the BBC weatherman states that its going to be 16-18c on Sunday for the race ....and then casually states that it is 'ideal conditions for marathon running':rolleyes:eek:
It would need to be at least 10c lower to have a chance of being called ideal.
Remember guys it is far more important to get the water over your head rather than over drinking. Take advantage of the en route showers and pour a bottle over your head and onto your thighs (these will be the hottest muscles) at each drinks station.
Anyway, must crack on before getting down to London for the big weekend..........:D:DGt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j

Well the good news is the humidity is dropping and it loooks like there will be some cloud cover - so I actually think it wont be that bad for the first few hours (since it will rain overnight and be cool in the morning)0

I have found it really difficult to ask for sponsorship.......then lo and behold during the week, one of the girls at work announced she is running RFL next weekend, and sent round her sponsor form and when it was thrust under their noses, most people sponsored here. I have tried to be a little more "tactful" and only got about half of the workforce to commit which was a little disappointing, considering how much some of them earn.
Perhaps people will donate after the run, in a fit of guilt when they see me struggling to walk on Monday :rotfl:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
