xxI'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
Depends what you want from it - but I went from complete beginner (i.e. not even round the block) in June to running 5 ish miles in August and I actually started marathon training in October at about 35 miles a week and peaked at 60 miles a week - but you could start more slowly and peak a bit lower and still finish0

Thanks Maz
And what break - I am soooo taking my trainers for my post marathon kick back0 -

Thanks for all the thanks guys - its really nice to know people are thinking of us and wishing us well - I had a lovely email from someone I know yesterday saying she was really proud of me because I am the first person she knows to run a marathon which I thought was lovely and it really will help when I'm dying at mile 20!!!0
