I AM glad I went out tonight - but it was scary to think that in 5 days time I have to run 10 times the distance
It will be nice after FLM to just go for a run without any pressure........I thinkSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
I agree about running just for the fun of it. I decided not to run at all this week as I have a niggly foot. Tapering doesn't suit me though, I get too antsy!LBM 16/06/08 - Credit card debts June '08 [STRIKE]£49,145 [/STRIKE].... Feb '13 balance £38,478 ... We'll get there0

Oh well, that 's sorted as I'm doing a rain dance too! Sorry, I don't CARE about the supporters (well, I do a bit, sorry family....
) but give me a cooling breeze and a steady drizzle and I'll be a happy marathon runner!!

Just looked at that link Becky - think it may be too late for me to improve my marathon time!! I've been using a Sam Murphy programme for this one (I trust her) - have you been following a schedule Becky?LBM 16/06/08 - Credit card debts June '08 [STRIKE]£49,145 [/STRIKE].... Forgetmenot - Rich did my plan a very long while back as I was a complete novice (before I even had an FLM place
) then I sponged a load of info off him and re-worked it in Jan myself to fit the general principles into my life/training etc
Its interesting that all the women on that thread find speedwork really tough - makes me feel loads better
Cant wait to start apply some MG tips and info to my next build up0 -
I'm defintely going to try the long run followed by a recovery run and the speed sessions at shorter distances now I am fitter - its great having a base to work from this time
And also the long warm ups then racing and using hill sessions as a medium paced (just below threshold level) session - oooo exciting0 -

So how are you feeling now with all the hard work behind you?
I know you've got a marathon on Sunday, but the next 3-4 weeks are going to be a breeze compared to the training thats gone before.:D
As always, dont forget the number one priority - Vaseline!:p
Like I could/should have done morebut on the other hand confident and up for the challenge. Wonder how many others are feeling they could have done more...do you think Paula thinks this too before a race?
Have just added vaseline to the list..had forgotten that one!I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....
