    Week1(Abingdon)
    Mon20/4 10.0 Miles 1:12:58 (7:18/mile) (Pulse 108)

    Wow - This is FUN!!!:D:D:D

If you're doing a marathon for the first time you are going to have such a surprise afterwards when you're fully recovered!

This was a PB for this course by an absolute mile (and a literal mile too I suppose) with the previous best just over 1:20. It felt great and after going through the first 5 miles in 36:57 without pushing at all the second 5 miles (which are much tougher) accelerated to 36:01.

I cant help thinking that with 26 weeks to go I may have peaked a little early!:p:p:rotfl:

Nice running Rich - I could tell you were in the mood for it on Sunday actually because you barely breathed or sweated the whole way round (unlike me of course ;))

Just done my 3 miles......it was quite hard work, but that could be because I set off a bit too quick out of the blocks. I didn't have a watch with me so had no idea how fast or slow I was. I stopped for a chat with someone I've not seen for a long time, so it was very much a "casual" run.

I was wearing my charity running vest though - making sure it fits :D

I know you've got a marathon on Sunday, but the next 3-4 weeks are going to be a breeze compared to the training thats gone before.:D

As always, dont forget the number one priority - Vaseline!:p

Its not too surprising it was a bit hard, Hypno, after you've worked all those different muscles in unusual ways for the last week. Hopefully, they'll remember what running's all about by the and of the week.:D

If not, you'll have to get a pair of roller skis so that last week's training doesn't go to waste.:D

I know of a few people who roller ski in Hyde Park :D

I have eaten gnnochi and I am still bored - I have hung out my washing, cleaned as much of my kitchen as I dare since the flatmates will cook in it later ;), off to read Mike Gratton's thread on runners world I think :D

Do you feel better for getting a run in Hypno? Glad the vest fits :D

    Sally - honestly!!! ;)
