JJ - Its when you can see obvious signs of improvement that you get a new surge of enthusiasm, so you must be feeling pretty good right now!!:D:D The pace is certainly edging up so your lean muscle mass must be improving as you get the work done.
In terms of the Mansfield Half, it will be run while doing high weekly mileage so anything could happen...the main aim will be to just use it as a stepping stone towards the Fleetwood Half and Macclesfield Half which will be run later during the peaking phase... then I'll be trying to crack through the 1-15 mark as the qualifying time for London 2010.Gt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j

Im not to sure on the muscle mass but it is a nice feeling having consistant laps rather than them jumping around and getting the 7 miles in within an hour was a wonderful feeling and it didnt feel too hard either.
The legs feel a little bit fuzzy today, not hurting but can feel the mileage in them IYKWIM.
There will be a couple of my work guys that will be running the 1/2 as well and they will be going under 1.15. I dont think that i will be able to qualify for london 2010 but then iv not peaked in my mileage yet so will have to see how the training goes.Running Club5KM - 25:20(51.21%) 10KM - 53:40(50.26%)1/2 Marathon - 2.14.57(44.20%)Marathon 5:11:00 (40.78%)0 -
Feeling the run in your legs is a good thing - it means you will develop some adaptation as a result and come back stronger.
And it felt comfortable, so your cardiovascular system is moving oxygen around pretty efficiently.
All good news.:D:DGt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j

Its a good job I am carb loading today - I am sooooo hungry
Had porridge for brekkie and some pringles - mmmm yummy, going to have pasta and cheese tonight with Salad
Looking forward to my run tonight - on the walk in my legs where a tiny bit stiff so its good to ease out any last aches from my cold0 -
Okay so its less than 7 days and time to make a weather prediction
Good news and bad news I think - HUGE storm front around on the weekend - wet, windy and gross but it looks like it wont hit as far as London till overnight and then will be cooler and fresher on Sunday, but sadly there will still be rain around, most likely first thing in the morning.
However, there is the possibility that the storm will get slowed down by the lovely high we have now and oculd hit on Sunday morning = not very good.
But on the good front I suspect it wont get hot until later in the day on Sunday so it should be fairly comfortable for the race and sun stroke wont be much of an issue.
Now lets see if i can be completely wrong this time after being right about Blakpool0 -

Hi Rich - Can you please add another race for me? Sunday 17 May 2009 - Netley 10k
Also, I will be PM'ing you shortly with a stupid question; hope you don't mind
Thanks for the weather update Becky, if it rains then my trail run should be nice and muddy on Sunday!!! :rotfl:2021 MFW No.18 £9900/£10,000Mortgage at 21.07.20 £178,999 Mortgage today £150,8910 -
I know that'll be exciting for you eh! Dont forget to pack a towel just in case you get muddy - its better to wipe it off asap rather than trying to shower it off when dry0

Im hoping the weather is cool-mildish, and overcast! Please please don't let it be too sunny, or rainy or windy!
Rich/Becky can you re-do your blurb on tapering week. I know rich posted something pages and pages ago, also prep for the race. Need to make sure I am prepared as much as possible..thank you kindly
Oh and Chick - thank you so much xxI'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....

Hi Sally,
Here's Rich last week:
Week31
Mon30/3 Rest Day
Tues31/3 Rest Day
Weds1/4 Race: Spencers Dash 3.7 24:44 (6:41/mile)
Thurs2/4 Rest Day
Fri3/4 10K 58:03 (9:22/mile) (Pulse 68)
However, he admitted me on the weekend that he definitely overtapered and was stiff during the marathon which I'm sure he'll confirm later - hence why I'm doing a 3 miler each day this week
I hope the protestors move from Westminster - they are blocknig our route to the Mall at the moment *rolls eyes*0 -
Well I am only down to do 2 miles on mond, wed and fri but I am going to run club tonight and suspect I will run 4 ish then maybe 3 on wed and 3 on friday...2 miles isn't worth putting your kit on for!
I hope the dam protestors move too...anyone got any stink bombs!I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....
