I'm back! Got the coach into and out of Victoria and spent about half an hour stuck in traffic saying to the children "this time next week, I'll be running down this road".........:D
I have discovered that skiing and long distance running use COMPLETELY different muscles - my legs have certainly had a good work out over the last 10 days........I will do a short jog around the block tomorrow to remind them of their task next weekend.
I've not read through the posts over the last week but hope everyone is recovered from lurgies and the like.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

I am raring to go already - this week is either going to go really really quickly, or really really slowly!!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0

Hi sally - it looks as though we're reasonably close doesn't it although I'm in Hampshire and did I see correctly that you're in Dorset? I've just been looking for a 1/2 Marathon for July/August and have come across the Sturminster Newton Half? Any idea how 'undulating' this might be? I'm not familiar with the area at all.
Welcome back Hypno - it's getting exciting now isn't it?2021 MFW No.18 £9900/£10,000Mortgage at 21.07.20 £178,999 Mortgage today £150,8910 -
Seeing the "road closed for FLM" signs was very exciting.........I think I need to get out more :rotfl:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0

I think its not too bad, Sturminster Newton is very rural and reasonable hills around so guessing there will be a bit of undulation. Not had a look of the course but I think it heads out to a good bit of flat before a few hills. I might think about doing it myself...I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. Chickadee,
I'm itching to know whether you carried out the plan to run 10 miles before today's 10K race!
If you did, I'm mightily impressed with the outcome at 57:38!:D:DGt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j

Now that would be good sally - we could say 'Hi' before you shoot off into the distance. :rotfl::rotfl: Or better still meet up in the beer tent afterwards!!
Hmmm, is there anyone else living near here who would like a nice stroll out in the countryside?2021 MFW No.18 £9900/£10,000Mortgage at 21.07.20 £178,999 Mortgage today £150,8910
