Sorry to hear that you're feeling under the weather Chick and Pink; hope you are feeling better soon.
Raphael - well done, that's some going. No wonder you're pleased :T
I've nearly completed day one of my plan - ooh, rest days are hard (actually it was such a lovely sunny afternoon I was sorry not to be running today)2021 MFW No.18 £9900/£10,000Mortgage at 21.07.20 £178,999 Mortgage today £150,8910 -
Chick and Pink, I hope you both feel much better soon. ((hugs))
raph, that is great running! Go you :T
Simply - glad you have survived such a tough day
rusty, sorry you had a bad run - I know exactly how you feel after my aborted run last week. I am sure you will feel better tomorrow.
I did 5.5 miles while DS was at karate. It was a nice evening - the wind dropped a bit....but boy did my legs ache! I certainly felt the miles from the weekend, and had a fair bit of "shuffling" going on!
But hopefully it will loosen them up for the rest of the week. No running tomorrow for me.....rest rest rest!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Becky its so impressive and inspirational that you've come so far in such a short space of time.
For all those under the weather I hope you get better soon.
I did 60 minutes on the stepper this afternoon. I'm really enjoying keeping fit at the moment and with this thread I feel its possible. Thanks guys.0 -
Hi everyone, just wanted to say you're all amazing runners and have given me alot of inspiration. I've just recovered from a cold and today was my first run since 10K race last sunday. I only had time for a 5K but felt good afterwards. Was very windy and the wind was in my face so took me longer than normal, 30:29 (my fastest is 23.42). Really enjoyed it though. My target this week is to run a min of 25 miles. I think it's achievable
I really want to do a comfortable sub 1 hr 10K, my next one is on the 29th March.
Do what you want because in the end people will judge you anyway.0 -
evening all
soz for the late post, i managed to get out for my 3pm run. Bloody Hell it was windy and lorries woooshing past you dont make it any easier
Well i managed the 7.7 miles in 67.29 so knocked off 7.31 from my previous time which was in good conditions so very happy tonight. TYhe wind was against my side for most of the run making me lean to one side then in my face for the last mile which was agony i was huffing an puffing soo much. but was glad to back out ont he roads.Running Club5KM - 25:20(51.21%) 10KM - 53:40(50.26%)1/2 Marathon - 2.14.57(44.20%)Marathon 5:11:00 (40.78%)0 -
Hi All,
Actually got out running again today - twice.
Went into work (day off) and ran with some friends at lunch - did around 10 miles, I think - can't tell for sure as I've been running sans-garmin - partly because it's flat, but partly just to "enjoy running" for a bit.
Anyway, then I drove home and did another four with my sister and her bf (two quite slowly, then two quite quick).
Feel tired now0 -
Wow JJ, Idio and Rachael some good running there in really tough conditions and some good stepping from Rachel too!
I totally enjoyed my rest day yesterday (I didnt run at all in the end because I was very stiff) and am looking forward to my intervals this evening...
Happy running all!0 -
Good runs going on and hope those who feel poorly get better soon.
I did 3 miles last night but couldn't post due to baby screaming for 2 hours!, rest day today then back out again tomorrow.0
