Afternoon all.
WOW your all doing sooooo well.
Iv not been out much lately due to the cold weather being perticular icy around here.
I have managed to keep up the circuit training, the knee feels a lot better know it just seems to come and go, so hopefully iv gotten over th worse of it.
Had that stupid virus last week that ruined any training that i had planned didnt even make it into work.
I managed to get the fit test in on tuesday after a perticular hard legs circuit on monday and managed to get to 9.4 only 6 shuttles off passing thats 120 metres really peeved off but never mind just means i can smash it next time.
Hoping to get my butt out of the door this weekend and put some more miles into my legs.Running Club5KM - 25:20(51.21%) 10KM - 53:40(50.26%)1/2 Marathon - 2.14.57(44.20%)Marathon 5:11:00 (40.78%)0 -
Well this running is helping the weight fall off, a stone in just over a month.
May do a x-train session at the gym before my dreaded night shift....
I celebrated my weight loss by treating myself to a fry up this morning as with all this running lark, I know I'm allowed to.0 -
Oooo fry up - havent had one for ages - good suggestion Rusty
Well done on the weight loss by the way!0 -
I do love a good fry up as well. And if you're doing lots of running, you can have one without guilt!
Played football at lunchtime, but as we had 2 subs today I don't feel like I've had a proper work out. Need a run tonight I think. On the plus side, there is no sign of any knee trouble, but I will continue to go easy.Running Club targets 20105KM - 21:00 21:55 (59.19%)10KM - 44:00 --:-- (0%)Half-Marathon - 1:45:00 HIT! 1:43:08 (57.84%)Marathon - 3:45:00 --:-- (0%)0 -
Went out today on a slightly longer run...really didn't enjoy it at all...
By 1.5 miles my MP3 player ran out of battery, which sucked.
At 2 miles I was really feeling like it wasn't coming as easy as it normally does.
At 3 miles I had to run through around 8 inches of water. My feet got wet. And cold.
At 4 miles I really wished I wasn't 4 miles from work.
At 5 miles I officially went into "limp home mode" just to try and get back.
At 6 miles my nipple started to feel significantly sore.
At 10k I removed my tops and started running topless.
At 7.5 miles I was way colder than someone who's just run 7.5 miles should be.
At 8 miles I stopped and got dressed again, walked the last half mile back.
Feel a little bit exposed now, quite shattered and fairly sure I wanna go home!
I don't know if it's just down to footy on weds then the moderately brisk 5miler yesterday. Maybe it was just "one of those days". Maybe it was the 6 pints I had last night. Maybe it was the drunked running I did to the train station from the pub...Who knows...:) But one way or another, it wasn't a good day, runningwise.0 -
Never mind idio, just try to shrug it off as "one of those days" the ipod, wet & cold feet etc. didn't really help. It will be different the next time you set out.Running Club targets 20105KM - 21:00 21:55 (59.19%)10KM - 44:00 --:-- (0%)Half-Marathon - 1:45:00 HIT! 1:43:08 (57.84%)Marathon - 3:45:00 --:-- (0%)0
