This one is a buyer on ebay (and claims items are lost in the post) then he sells them on via Amazon. He's from Northern Ireland.

Anybody reported him to Amazon for selling goods obtained by fraud yet? Must be breaking some law or other.

  • i would personaly get everyone you have spoken to that have been conned by this man and all put in a report to ebay and paypal then all report him to amazon for fraud
  • As other posters have said i would def try inform Amazon and try get his amazon trading name.

And try get all the other people who he has done this to, to update their feedback they left him to say

"Sorry your item was "lost" in the post" if you all did that his feedback would def catch peoples eye and hopefully warn them off. Becareful tho not to put any words like "liar, fraud, investigation" etc..

I would also try as a group, to put a complaint into EBay again. I know you said they werent interested before but i am sure if there is enough of you now they cant just ignore it and let them know he is re-selling on Amazon.

Good luck op and dont let him get away with it.

Looked at his feedback - 460 odd rating at 100%,

Buyers cant get anything other than positive feedback so its meaningless.
  • Ggggrrrrrrrrrr makes me mad that he's getting away with this!! You need to all report him to Ebay etc. Thanks for posting his ID, just added to my blocked list. Best of luck with this one :)
  • Well, this guy can play the system I'll give him that. I know at least 20 people have reported him to ebay this weekend. People told him they knew what he was doing, a group of people got together to decide a plan of action. What does he do? He emails *most* people back - says sorry, my mistake, your item arrived this morning! Left positive feedback and now nobody canm complain.

As most people seem obsessed by their feedback rating - this has been sufficient for them. I was one of the two unlucky ones who shouted the loudest...so he's left me and another person negative feedback. Replied to his feedback and contacted ebay - they say they can't remove his feedback to me but unfortunately have to remove mine to him because it was a negative comment with a postive rating!!!!! But we'll give you a £20 voucher because we appreciate all the feedback our customers give us so we can improve our service for everyone.

I'm absolutely gobsmacked. What started as a bit of fun to make some extra cash to clear my Christmas debts has turned into this. Ebay isn't for me. I'm just so disillusioned.

If any eagle eyed people want to keep a watch on his activities (I can't face it anymore - if ebay won't respond to 20 people complaining at once I have no faith in them) just check out the feedback he leaves for others. He doesn't tend to you see (wouldn't want to leave positive feedback for an item that he claims hasn't arrived. doesn't want to draw attention to himself by leaving negative feedback either). But over the past 2 days he's been on a PR exercise and on his best behaviour - so positive feedback all round. I'd bet my house that once the dust settles, his feedback will stop and he'll be back to his old tricks.

hi, there are a few things that as a group of people you can collectively do to try to stop this.

    1. Report this to Royal Mail, tell them that XX no of parcels have been reported by this person, and could they investigate this. You could try customer services, or ask for the Delivery Manager at their local delivery office. (if you need to find that phone no www.192.com type Royal Mail and the buyers postcode in the search and then look for delivery office, saves you going through silly customer service number)

    2. Report to the police, they will not be interested in a single instance, but several together will work. From what I remember of someone doing this a while back, it is best to call the police in his area. Explain how many parcels etc, and ask for a crime number. (another seller did this and eventually the person was taken to court, but it took some going at first, it was very similar to your case)

    3. Do not refund / replace. Let them chargeback and make paypal take the money. at least this goes on their record.

    4. If any money is refunded, then complete item not paid for dispute. - this bit is important, as if enough different sellers complete this, then he will be NARU'd. (forget the feedback, if he does not respond to the dispute then the feedback should be removed)

    hope it helps

Ok, starting from the end. Number 4..OP can't open an NPB as buyer merely has to enter their original paypal transaction number and the strike will be removed. Non payment means just that, it doesn't have anything to do with refunds.

    3) Letting them chase it via paypal is not a bad idea, although do remember that this is recorded against the seller as well . Also, it looks like buyer has withdrawn a lot of their requests so there is the possibility now that only the OP and a couple of others will have chargebacks against them.

    2) Try the police by all means, but make sure you have all the Amazon evidence to hand as well so they understand what exactly is happening.

1),, I'm not sure I follow how this is anything but a disadvantage to the seller? Buyer has not defrauded Royal mail as he has made no claims to them, only the sellers can make the claim for loss. The only person being defrauded here is the seller so I'm not entirely sure what reporting this to RM achieves.
