have i got this right he is claiming not delivered then listing them on ebay himself? do you have proof of postage? i would try and tactfully let him know his games up, although it would seem you are trying this. i would perhaps do as others on ebay say you have proof of postage and you will do everything to help him recover his lost dvd. see what he or she says?

I don't know that he's listing them himself - might be but through another name - but why he'd want 20 of the same DVD I just don't know!! 5 people have now got back to me saying he's asking for a refund of lost item.

I've politely told him I know what his game is and that perhaps he should contact royal mail - its very unfortunate to have so many items go missing. Told him I hope it turns up - he's not responded.

All 5 other people are now also reporting him - hopefully ebay will sort it.

I really dispair at people sometimes - what a ****

i was buyer and seller or royal mail, sent a form out and i had to fill in some details. not sure what happens once form returned? seller was very fair and sent another out, not sure if she though i was trying it on

More and more sellers are doing this, and although it does not take any precedence over a paypal claim. It does help separate the chancers from the genuines, and does help Royal Mail if they need to pursue any action.

Some people are just vile aren't they - hopefully if everyone he has done this to reports him they will have to get rid of him. Keep us updated.

I had a message back from ebay. They basically said that I need to communicate directly with him and offred to request his phone number!! They also said that they cannot look into it as they are just a platform for buyers and sellers to meet and rely on the trust of members. I pointed out that 6 people in the last week have been contacted by this member to say their item has not arrived - they don't seem to want to know!!

The guy in question got back to me as well - a bit rattled but still very defensive. Said someone must have a grudge against him - when I said an awful lot of his items seem to go missing, he said that 37 items have been lost in the past 3 months, but since he's bought over 800, that's to be expected!!

I suspect he'll submit a claim through paypal now. It seems so unfair - I refuse to give him his money back - but he's continuing to do this to others as well who might not be aware. Just this morning someone else contacted me to ask if he'd done to me what he had to them....its obviously a scam yet ebay don't seem interested.

I know!! Not sure what to do now - think I'll message him again and say I've spoken to the royal mail and they have suggested if that many items are going missing, there must be a problem and he should contact them direct.

Another quick update. Another member he'd done this to gave me a phone number to ring (usually reserved fpr power sellers I think). The lady was very helpful, much more sympathetic than the email service - said she's going to look at his account and see what she can do. Also gave me a £20 voucher as a good will gesture. Excellent customer service on the phone.
