You can put a minimum of £10 on the pone to top it up. It has no expiry date.
I'll follow your way, it seems much simpler, convert to PAYG at the end of contract, no need to top up , then request a PAC if a good deal comes up :beer:0 -
damien - The Link online have all the forms available for cashback for the past 12 months on their website - go to http://www.thelink.com/martprd/store/lin_page.jsp?BV_SessionID=@@@@1148443510.1138478538@@@@&BV_EngineID=ccfjaddglhekfgmcflgceggdhhmdgmi.0&page=GenericEditorial&genericeditorial=chequeback_offers
and select the month you bought the phone in - you should then locate the claim form - their forms also include the t&cs which will state whether you can downgrade your tariff or not. You will also have to serve the minimum term with 3 (180 days?) before you can change your tariff as otherwise you may get a clawback (have to payback money!) to The Link as they may have money claimed back from them by 3.

Firstly thanks for helping so far
ok here goes....
I joined the 3 tariff on the 5th of may 05, the contract is for 18 months, the first 12 months at £9.99, the remaining 6 months at full price of £40 per month. the plan is talk and text 900 and i am now on month 7. I did find the downloadable form but i think it was too late for the first cashback which was after 6 months, i have sent it off anyway just in case!
the remaining cashbacks are months 9 and 12 after which i believe i am free to change the tariff.
The reason my billsare so high is the additions of video value and internet e.t.c. which are compulsory for the cashback deal
If i had known what i was getting into i would of stayed with payg!!Label on a pack of Huggies nappies:
This label contains a metal strip and should not be used in microwaves.........0
