Just sent for one of these cards.
One question, if I used the Clubcard Plus and a double points voucher from a mailing, say on a £10.00 spend....(lets make it simple!) Would I have 10 points from spend, 10 points from TPF for using the 'Plus' card, and 10 points for the double points voucher???:j0 -

simonleblank wrote:cAN ANYBODY ADVISE IF YOU GET DOUBLE POINTS on fuel as well please?
I use clubcard plus in tescos for fuel and petrol, and tesco CC for everywhere else.
Makes a huge difference to the number of points I get, and is great for budgeting.0 -
Just requested an application form so hopefully I should get something in the next few days :jLooking to raise some money0

It's a great card - wonder why they don't advertise it in store?!!!Mortgage as Sept 2012: £96,000
Mortgage free: When i'm 39 / Sept 2023
Mortgage repayment = £588
Tracker Rate 1.99% above base: 2.49%0 -
I already have a tesco credit card and a normal blue clubcard so get two mailings, if I had club card plus would that make it three mailings? (assuming I spread my spending). TIA0

I've sent for an application form but could someone walk me through how to use this card. When I receive the card how do I actually get money onto it? Someone mentioned putting money on it at customer services and another said by standing order. How do you actually go about either?
Not sure of my actual monthly spend but say I put £100 on it every month - what happens if one month I go over the £100? Does it just go through the till and then I get charged interest for being in the red? Does it warn you at the till you don't have enough money on the card and you can pay the rest some other way?
I usually pay by credit card so understand I get 1.5 points instead of 2 if I were paying by debit/cash but don't know it its worth the hassle for the half point as I want to carry on paying with my credit card (for cashback)? Advice needed. Thanks.0 -

I've had a clubcard+ for years.
You pay a certain amount(decided by you) into it every month, either by direct debit or at the customer service desk, then it acts as a debit card in Tesco stores.
If you pay into it by DD, you can top it up at the CS desk.
If your account is empty, you can pay by whichever means you want, but remember to hand it over to get your points added, but if you do that, you only get single points as you're not actually paying with it.
If you find yourself short of cash, you can also do a cash withdrawal at the CS desk, or you can opt to have a PIN number and use it in cash machines.
There's also an overdraft facility on it, whereby you can be overdrawn by the amount you pay in monthly by DD
i.e. if you pay in £200 per month by DD, you can be £200 overdrawn.
The double points only applies to the spend on the card, so if a product carries bonus points, you'll just receive these at the normal rate, not doubled.
You only get a warning at the till if there's not enough funds to pay the bill, but it doesn't warn you when you're going to go overdrawn.
There's an automated service available for checking your balance0 -
Just a quick question. It says 1.5 points if you use credit card but why would you use a credit card when you use the Clubcard Plus card already loaded with cash?0

Because from what I have been told Tesco want to get rid of them. I recommended to my sister who has a catering business and she is amassing points rapidly. When you use it in store it only shows the points for what you have spent but the points double up when they appear on your statement. I have earned enough points to pay for 1/2 holiday with Cosmos in Majorca from their Deals brochure!!0
