I think clubcard plus points are shown on receipt further down as TPF bonus points and are included in total up to to date

Just found this really helpful thread, and have another question if anybody can help...

I have just registered for a clubcard credit card, just phoned up for a clubcard plus, and my partner has a normal clubcard in his name that we both already use.

If we leave these as three separate accounts, can we then merge the vouchers to use on holiday deals? We have different names, (but the same address), and i'd hate to collect points only to find we can't spend them jointly!

In our situation what would you recommend we do?

    Thank you

If you are Mr X and Partner is Ms Y, then as long as Mr X and Ms Y are both named on the holiday booking, then there is no need to merge as all your deals tokens will be accepted for that booking.

Thanks for that, it's exactly what I wanted to know...although I was also wondering if I should get all of my OHs Tesco cc points transferred into our joint T credit card account, so that I could spend them on jewellery :D. Holidays sound just as good though.

    Thanks!

So, should i get clubcard plus and not merge it with clubcard? How do to that?

You can only get your hands on the points by merging the accounts...depends how important those points are to you;)

    yes, get clubcard plus.

Don't merge by not giving your current clubcard number on your clubcard plus application.

2 seperate clubcard accounts for your house. 2 seperate mailings each quarter loaded with extra points vouchers.

Well last time I checked there was £1500 worth of deals. I've been looking in Goldsmiths to see if there was anything I fancied, but some sunshine would be better. ;)

so by having 2 seperate account and not merging, I will have 2 sets of vounchers.

That means I cant use all of them for my one holiday? I.e. only one set of vounchers for one holiday. (otherwise people would be buying off their freinds vounchers and have a grand holiday!!!)

Just had my welcome pack for cluncard plus - at last! However, reading it, I noticed it doesn't say anything about topping up at customer service, it just says about sending them on a cheque or telephone banking etc. Anyone know if they have stopped doing it at customer service? I had just put a minimum amount for DD as i was planning on topping it up before I do a shop at the desk.

Yes you can top up at Customer Services ( as advised by Martin some time ago) but they dont publicise it. I went into my store yesterday to top up and both the assistants ignored me. So I went to get a trolley and said loudly I will have to top up later and then went back to Customer Services. Still they ignored me so I went in search of a manager. I found an assistant manager and said I was being ignored and she came over and did the top up. However she did not apologise. I dont know if it is the Clubcard Plus or just me. Anyway I will continue topping at Customer Services whenever I want to. I saved enough Clubcard points this year to have £475 off my Cosmos Holiday( I do do a bit of wombling aswell!!)
  • I went to customer service desk today and they topped it up for me no problem with cash, can you top it up with a debit card?

I did get the impression that they knew little or nothing about it, the one assistant had to call someone else as she knew nothing about them and didn't know what she could do!
Aim to win in 2013 - a holiday somewhere nice, New York break, treats for family & friends & some cash would be lovely!!!
