The BBC could have paid for trained and informed people to help them and show others the right things to do from start to finish and not make a situation thats difficult and upsetting worse or harder than it is.

To be fair, this was a documentary and not a parachute-an-expert-in show.

  • He would have also lost the interest being paid on their mortgage maybe (equ to Housing benefit), the JSA with 5 kids is prob alot, kids school meals???, carers allowance etc etc

and by her being on sickness would have upped the ante I'm sure

but I do agree he wasn't motivated at all and he was either really stress, proud and/or embarassed being film in such a situation or he was just not a nic man/husband

she was off sick, that doesnt make him a "carer"
she was off sick and still doing the housework!
he wasnt gonna get a job was he, lets be fair, thats obvious
school meals = sarnies where im coming from
    interest? JSA? = excuses

I thought it said that he was a carer to the son with arthritis? I thought it said that was why he had to stop working.
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

Lack of pride or bad upbringing. Even if I didn't have a suit available, I would make sure I was wearing smart clothing.

Not quite sure I would go that far, but it certainly wasn't much use to anyone watching. :undecided

that's what I meant, going before a court judge is an important occasion and I would want to make the best impression I could in light of the situation I was/and will be in.
