Plus the single mum what’s this about recouping funds from friends and family going back 2yrs why why why?

CP not certain but i think there was equity in the house, thats why they tried to sell it first, then had it repossesed. I am not sure they actually went bc

As to the other one. She borrowed money from her mother and sister and when she stopped paying her creditors she continued to pay her family back. That is favouring a creditor and a big no no in the eyes of the OR.

Oh I dunno - the one thing that DID come through was that going bankrupt is not the easy option, and there is a lot to deal with afterwards. That might give the people who assume it's a piece of p!ss food for thought. Then again, probably not!! :rolleyes:Get free advice before embarking on bankruptcy: CCCS 0800 138 1111 National Debtline 0808 808 4000

I think it wasn't helpful as people would continue stressing out for longer and as we saw the state of the couples relationship and all the kids outlooks and the sick pensioner it doesn't do any favours painting it as a very dark dingy path or dead end.
Clear facts and protayal would have helped a lot of people on the day after the 'most depressing day on the year' in the most depressing time in the last 5 decades see a glimmer of light or at least a stark but logical solution. I don't think anyone thinking br think its a peice of p!ss (the majority anyway)
I don't think it did any favours for the hundreds and hundreds of us STILL having sleepless nights - sleep well0
