Sammy_Girl wrote: »Ok, at risk of turning into a complete Bridezilla, I've checked my wedding bible and at the moment for an August wedding we should have already done the following:
- Chosen Best Man, Chief BM, BMs and Ushers
- Confirm the budget
- Set the date and book ceremony
- Book reception venue
- Select wedding gown and book fittings
- Take out wedding insurance
- Compile guest list
- Send Save the Date cards
- Confirm florist
- Confirm photographer
- Confirm videographer
- Confirm transport
- Confirm cake maker
- Book entertainment (band, DJ etc)
- Reserve grooms and groomsmen suits
- Purchase BM outfits
- Book wedding night accommodation
- Book honeymoon
- Register with Gift List service
And this is what we should be in the process of doing now and have done by May:- Check passports are up to date
- Decide menu and choose wine
- Choose cake
- Choose flowers
- Purchase shoes and accessories
- Book hairdresser and make up artist
- Book toastmaster
- Compile gift list
- Source wedding stationery
- Choose readings and music
- Purchase wedding rings
- Book ceremony rehearsal
- Purchase gifts (Best Man, BM, Ushers, Mothers)
Everything in red is what I haven't done
One smiley to say......

Val, you are doing very well - I'm impressed. I've been engaged for a year now - so I should be doing better lol. I think I am going to do one thing at a time rather than a thousand things at once!
I've been doing wedding stuff since I got in from work so I think I'll head off to bed now.
Good night all x0 -

Hi bluemeanie, sorry I didn't mean to panic anyone!! At least its a kind of prompt in the right direction!
Sorry can't help with the online webcams. Do you have any techie family or friends who could help? Does the venue have a broadband link that you could use? I guess you could try googling companies that do video conferencing - is that the same thing??0 -
hi all,
Can i join the club please....??
OH and I are getting married, in august - tentative date is 8th Aug, but will have to wait until we get the church and reception venue confirmed.
I have not started planning per se (only viewed one church and 2 venues)....and i feel that the pressure is on to decide soon....
sooo exciting!!0 -

I shall put you down for the 8th - let us know what you decide !0 -
How's the planning going all
I feel like I've been quite productive today. I have:- Booked first dress fitting for Easter Saturday
- Sent off booking form for cake and paid deposit
- Reserved guest accommodation at 2 local hotels
- Enquired about hair extensions, so my hair sits nicer
- Enquired about groomsmen outfits and costs
- Registered with John Lewis for Gift List

Just poking my nose in, ladies, and saw that you were talking about wedding rings.
I bought mine from http://www.thejewellerychannel.tv/ about a year ago - it was £279 for a 0.5 carat princess cut diamond and white gold (Iliana range). It's worth having a look at their stuff - I've bought loads of items from them over the last year or so, including 0.5 carat diamond earrings and a pendant for my wedding too and I've been chuffed with virtually everything.
HTH someone
