I know Val, you'd think the rings are pretty straightforward lol

Nic, it's always best to go in the shop with an open mind. I knew I wanted a corset and full skirt to show off my waist and hide my big bum and hips lol - so we chose dresses like that - some were awful but I ended up with 2 that I couldn't decide. And remember to haggle, haggle, haggle!!! I got the 2 dresses I like down to the same price - £600. But that made it even harder to choose lol. But I'm glad I chose my dress - I love it!!!

Mine's ivory - I'm quite pale so white just didn't look right next to me. But I think I'll still have a nice St Tropez done anyway lol

Oh and wear half decent underwear! I didn't even think of that and ended up going in big pants and a black bra lol

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=270297495921 this is the dress I want. Im 99.99% sure, I dont think it is in season anymore so Im hoping they can show me something similar for me to try on. Im going for Ivory coz thats what my veil is but Im going on holiday 5 weeks before the wedding so hopefully I can keep my tan long enough

I went a bit mad on ebay as you can prob tell. lol.

They have a shop in the UK but the dresses are made abroad (China I think). They cant guarantee the dress will be in coz they have so many. Another girl bought the same dress so Im going to wait and see what its like when she gets it.
I got the veil brand new on ebay. The lady had bought it and then changed her dress so didnt need it. Its a john lewis one that she paid £105 for and I got it for £45 (technically £15 coz my dad gave me £30 towards it.)
Its gorgeous, 2 tiered and scattered with swarovski crystals

Nic, that's why I wore my big knickers - but I could have chosen some nice ones lol

Val - that's the veil I want! I've seen some nice ones on Ebay that I think I will get. My bodice has swarovski and my jewelery is swarovski, so I might as well finish off the look - I just need to get a veil that doesn't have too many crystals lol. What length is yours - I can't decide whether to go elbow or finger tip - I'm rather tall so I don't want it too short.

It's great having you girls on here to talk to - it reminds me of other things I need to think of and you've given me some great ideas :)

Depending on where it is in my hair (not sure how im having it just yet) it goes to about my waist. I just need to be careful as Im only 5'6" (hopefully wearing about 3inch heels) OH is 6' something so no problems there

Ok, at risk of turning into a complete Bridezilla, I've checked my wedding bible and at the moment for an August wedding we should have already done the following:
    • Chosen Best Man, Chief BM, BMs and Ushers
    • Confirm the budget
    • Set the date and book ceremony
    • Book reception venue
    • Select wedding gown and book fittings

    • Take out wedding insurance
    • Compile guest list
    • Send Save the Date cards

    • Confirm florist
    • Confirm photographer
    • Confirm videographer
    • Confirm transport

    • Confirm cake maker
    • Book entertainment (band, DJ etc)

    • Reserve grooms and groomsmen suits
    • Purchase BM outfits

    • Book wedding night accommodation
    • Book honeymoon

    • Register with Gift List service

And this is what we should be in the process of doing now and have done by May:
    • Check passports are up to date

    • Decide menu and choose wine

    • Choose cake

    • Choose flowers
    • Purchase shoes and accessories

    • Book hairdresser and make up artist
    • Book toastmaster

    • Compile gift list
    • Source wedding stationery

    • Choose readings and music

    • Purchase wedding rings
    • Book ceremony rehearsal
    • Purchase gifts (Best Man, BM, Ushers, Mothers)

Everything in red is what I haven't done

One smiley to say......

So how are you ladies faring against our timeline
