I thought you only got exempt for a set period of time? so maybe you were exempt for a year and thats why you got another form as its been a year?
There was no time period for the exemption given on the letter I received in September just a sentence saying "as long as I satisfy the conditions."

If you are exempt it is indefinatly(for as long as you still have the level of illness) so you should only have to fill in another IB50 if you have got better.
Well I filled in the form exactly the same way as I did last year.

I just don't know how I can be exempt in September but not exempt 8 months later.

The IB caseload is reducing now so maybe that is why they have more time to pick over current claims.

Possibly. Just odd that when I rang the dept in BElfast the woman said I didn't need to send it in! Why bother sending it then?!?

Possibly system generated rather than someone making a point of sending it out.

I am not a financial advisor. Anything I post is basically just random stuff from my head. Digest it as you will. Being free of debt is good. Banks control us through debt. Caveat Emptor. Ignore anything I say. Oh and don't copy it either. Cheers. I'll have a Guinness extra cold.

What makes you think that this thread is about trying to scam the system. It is about people having problems with the IB/ESA system. Nobody said they want to scam anybody. If you don't have anything helpful to say don't bother replying.

Some people like to tar everybody who claims benefits as spongers and wasters.

Having gone through the system, I know that it is biased against the claimants - indeed have documentary evidence to prove this.

BTW: I have proved the Financial Services Authority lack integrity with an official complaint - so know this can be proven against DWP also.
