I got an IB50 in the post this morning. Less than a year after I was told I was exempt from having a medical. Go figure.0

cifpower. Ring them up and explain you have got a letter saying you are excempt. I had a letter saying i was excempt last year and got a IB50 this year in Feb. Forgot i had the previous letter so filled in the form only to have a letter back saying that i did not have to have a medical as i was exempt and would not need to fill in another IB50 unless my illness improved. So i would say to you tell them BEFORE you fill in the form as they may just say don't worry or even send in a copy of the letter.0

Had a most curious conversation with IB. They said they review all claims every 2-3 months and "my time had come round again." They have already written to my doctor.
I was told that if I do not send back my IB50 my claim will be unaffected and I will still get paid but they would "welcome" me sending it back.
I filled it in and sent it back a few minutes ago.
Rather odd don't you think?0 -
Makes you wonder why they even bother to say that you are exempt if they are not going to take any notice of their own decisions. I expect i will get another one next feb if not before.0

I just think that 2 IB50s in the space of a year is a bit too much - especially after they exempted me.0

I thought you only got exempt for a set period of time? so maybe you were exempt for a year and thats why you got another form as its been a year?Wins so far this year: Mum to be bath set, follow me Domino Dog, Vital baby feeding set, Spiderman goody bag, free pack of Kiplings cakes, £15 love to shop voucher, HTC Desire, Olive oil cooking spray, Original Source Strawberry Shower Gel, Garnier skin care hamper, Marc Jacobs fragrance.0

If you are exempt it is indefinatly(for as long as you still have the level of illness) so you should only have to fill in another IB50 if you have got better.0
